(03.21.02)A professional webperson is taking over fallsilent.com, but there has been a lot of problems with getting the address in her name. In the meantime, check out the "shows" page - Fall Silent is doing a West Coast/Canadian tour with stops in MN and CO on the way back from Canada. This summer with be a full US tour with labelmates Curl Up And Die, and then sometime in the fall they're going to try and make it back to Europe and Japan. I got the new album, "Drunken Violence" in the mail last week and haven't taken it out of my cd player yet. It's a classic, the jury is still out on whether or not it's their best record yet, but I'm starting to think it is. I think a lot of people are going to be blown away. It's definetely the fastest and toughest album Revelation has ever put out. The official street date is 04/23/02, but I'm sure you can get it a few days early if you go to their shows. (12.26.01)I hope everyone is enjoying their time off. If your boss didn't give you any time off you should shoot them. I added a guestbook...waiting for the artwork for the new album before I redesign the site. (11.06.01)Four months without an update? What happened? Well, some of you may have noticed that fallsilent.com was dead for over a month as a result of the World Trade Centers collapsing. The good news is that hopefully the entire site will be transferred to that domain and off of geocities.com. Anyway, on to the band news. The new album, "Drunken Violence," was recorded at the end of August with Eric Steinman, who previously has worked with Will Haven, Countervail, Deftones, Far, Unearthed and others. Levi says, "We have finished the album and the mixing and now all we do is master and we will be finished. It is definitely the best 11 songs we have ever put on an album and I am so fucking excited for everyone to hear it. A lot of new ideas and new approaches to the Fall Silent sound have made "Drunken Violence" another solid release for us. We are having some trouble with the artwork right now but we should get that worked out soon. The album should be out by March 2002 on Revelation Records." Right after it comes out will be a west coast tour, with a full US tour following in the summer. One of the reasons why the album is taking a little bit longer is that Levi just had a baby boy named Jude Loader Watson with his wife. Fall Silent will be out of commission until March so that he can pretend like he knows how to be a father. Keep checking back for a new site design and updates when they come in. (07.07.01)I finally (sort of) updated the information for the Six Years cd, go to the history section for that. Most of the reviews for the record have been coming back and it's been pretty interesting. A lot of people who had never heard the band before have fallen in love, and a few totally hate it. At least there's no real middle ground of mediocrity. Some of the reviews have somehow labeled Fall Silent as a Christian band, so to clear things up completely, the dedication to Jesus Christ in the cd booklet is a joke! Levi did a long phone interview with someone from Action Attack Helicopter and they talk about that for a bit. Go here for part one and here for part two. That's all for now. (07.22.01) Check out the sounds section for six fall silent mp3s. They are set to record in Sacramento with Eric Steinman (Will Haven, Far, Unearthed, Countervail, etc.) next month. (07.11.01) Fall Silent finished their west coast tour a week or so ago and Levi said it went well. I went to two of the shows and had an awesome time. I put up 16 new pictures from the record release show in Reno and they came out really well. Five or six songs will be up at mp3.com shortly, the geocities ad (bastards) will be put to death, and everything that's broken and/or ugly will be fixed. Welcome to fallsilent.com, the official website of Fall Silent. We apologize for the site sucking so much ass for so long, there were a lot of problems beyond our control. Everything is still under pretty heavy construction, but we wanted to get up as much as possible as quickly as possible so people can get an idea of what Fall Silent is all about. If you do a zine and have reviewed Six Years, please email it to me. I searched around and found a few new interviews with them. Most of them are boring, obviously done by people who aren't all that familiar with the band but want to be up on the newest Revelation band or something. There's a funny one in the May issue of Skratch that will be posted shortly, but here are some others:
