Welcome
Our church heritage
Fallowfield treasures
its rural roots.
In June 1886, the cornerstone of this Methodist church was laid
in place by Canada's first prime minister Sir John A. MacDonald.
Previous to this, the congregation worshipped in a frame
structure at this site since 1868. This original building was
shared by the Methodists and Presbyterians (who later built their
own building next door). On June 25th, 1925 with the formation of
the United Church of Canada, the Methodist building became
Fallowfield United Church. Today it warmly and enthusiastically
embraces its present and its future.
Morning
Worship
Fallowfield is blessed
in its ministry.
We are fortunate to have an excellent minister in Rev. Martin Carnahan.
He has a thought-provoking message every Sunday morning, and usually a
chuckle to "make it stick". If you are looking for a church family
please give us an
opportunity to meet you. We promise a warm, friendly welcome.
Sunday
School
Our young people are a
very special
part of our church life. We have an active Nursery and Sunday
School led by a group of dedicated and enthusiastic teachers who,
to the delight of the congregation, encourage our young people to
participate in special worship services through skits, songs, and
readings.
Music
at Fallowfield
We have a wonderful
history of music
appreciation and regularly invite guest musicians to enhance our
Sunday Worship. We are blessed with a wonderful new organ and an
exceptional organist. We even have a small choir led by a very
talented musician and we are always looking for new members.
Social
Events
On the first Sunday of
every month we
have coffee and a social hour following morning worship. Our fund
raising activities also provide us with many enjoyable
opportunities to socialize with each other and our community. We
host an annual Turkey Supper in the fall, and a yard sale in the
spring. We also enjoy many more group activities and outings
throughout the year simply for the joy of it!

The delicate spire distinguishes the
church on the corner of Steeple Hill
Crescent and Fallowfield Road as it
continues to welcome families
each Sunday.
