| Terrorists, the new form of the "I'm not touching you" game. | ||||
| Now, I am all for death and destruction, especially with the british. But I have to admit that it is really getting irritating. You know the kid that does the "I am not touching you, I am not touching you!" game. This is about the same damn thing. They really need to think about trying something new. Like maybe having a conference or a cooking show. Something different than what they are doing now. Bombing Britain is great, but maybe they should try to at least kill more people. I mean, come on, seven people? That many people die in a somewhat energetic car accident. These small bombings may up the color code our country relies on, but outside of that, they really don't do much. They either need to up the ante or do something else. Somehting like a nuke maybe, or a massive train crash (remember that shitty movie atomic train? Yeah, me neither.). Now, as for these color schemes we have going on, we really need to clear things up. First of all, changing to orange from yellow not only means nothing, but it is an insult to whoever got killed anyhow. Wow, one fucking color. Like it really matters anyhow. Our country has to realize that national security is not born overnight. And for people to assume that just because something happened overseas that we are at risk. You can't just assume that because we are one of the top countries on the planet that we are going to get bombed. And to assume that is kind of smug and blithe to begin with. How can you assume that we are so important that we deserve attention, good or bad? That is just a slap in the face to begin with. All of you sitting at home, watching the news for the latest press conference can all blow me. You can go ahead and think that 9/11 was a huge tragedy that changed the world, but it isn't. We are back to the way we used to be with some more rules. But I know I will get emails saying, "but Sphinx, 9/11 was a huge tragedy, how can you say that it wasn't?". But, what you have to realize, that it really wasn't. Yeah, a hell of a lot of people died, and it was very destructive. But, our country is pretty much over it all together. So, to say that it was a huge tragedy is actually quite counter-productive. We are over it already, so why drag us back through it. I understand that a country needs to heal, but most people don't even acknowledge it. I really choose to think of it as just another day in the growth of our country. Most of you by now have learned that I am not a nationalist by any means. What sickens me about our country is that all these so called patriots are only that way on a few select days a year. They are liars in the grand scheme of things. So I would rather choose not to be something, than to be a liar. So why do they do it? To fit in with everyone else, to be a robot. That is something I do not encourage at all and I would hope to think that none of you would either. But I am sure a good bit of you are complete tools, so go about your day buying things at the mall, and going to high school sports events that really don't matter. I will sit here and brood over the news. Got to keep writing you know. Bush, making political satirists obsolete since 2000. |
