Kane sat silently staring at the monitor in front of him. The Kat and Terri
were having another one of their catfights and he couldn't take his eyes off
the screen. Not because their clothes were flying everywhere but because he
knew his brother, the Undertaker was lurking. Kane and the Kat had become
close friends over the last couple of weeks and the Undertaker would do
anything to get at his brother. But would he go as far as attacking a woman?
Kane's mind drifted away when he thought of Kat. She was kind, funny and
beautiful, he had no idea why she was so friendly towards him. When Kane
looked in the mirror he saw an ugly, burnt monster and when he looked at Kat
he saw the most beautiful woman in the world. He couldn't understand why a
woman like her would want to know him. His attention was brought back to the
screen with a jerk. A high pitched scream pierced through his thoughts. The
Undertaker had Kat held high above his head ready to slam he into the mat.
Kane sprang to his feet and ran towards the ring. He reached the ramp in time
to see Kat's head bounce off the canvas in what JR called one of the most
devastating chokeslams he had ever seen.
Part two.
Kane and his tag team partner X-Pac followed the ambulance, which carried The
Kat. Both were praying there was nothing serious. When they arrived a nurse
ushered them towards the desk to help fill out forms. Kane helped as much as
he could but the worry made it difficult for him to form decent sentences. It
felt like hours, sitting and waiting for news. A little boy about 4 or 5 kept
asking his mum why the big, horrible man was crying but luckily Kane never
heard. Eventually a young doctor approached them, "Excuse me are you with the
young lady who was involved in the wrestling accident?" Both men jumped up
hurriedly agreeing. the doctor shrunk away at Kane's size but kept his voice
steady asking them to follow him. Kat lay in the hospital wincing with pain
when she heard the door open. "You're here" she exclaimed when she saw Kane.
"Come here and give me a hug" Kane gently hugged the woman terrified of
hurting her. "I'm not going to break, it hurt but I'm still in one piece,
aren't I?" Kane nodded thankful there wasn't any serious damage. Kat filled
him and X-Pac in on what the doctors had said and the fact that she would
have to stay in a couple of nights for observation. Kane instantly demanded
to be able to stay with her. Which Kat instantly stopped. "You know you're
supposed to be going to WWF New York tomorrow night and you will go and you
will enjoy yourself. Do you understand??? He saw a slight flicker of what she
thought was fright but dismissed it as nothing. She knew he didn't like being
with crowds of people he didn't know but X-Pac would be there to look out for
him. Kane unwillingly agreed which made Kat smile. At that moment a nurse
arrived to say they must leave. Once they had said their goodbyes Kat sat
back and wondered if she had done that right thing...
