History: Sailor Moon
The Moon Kingdom
Japanese Version
1,000 years ago there was a kingdom on the moon. The ruler Queen Serenity was a kind and just woman. She was raising her daughter, Princess Serenity, to follow in her foot steps.
The Princess was in love with Prince Endymion of Earth. Unfortunatly for them, Earth was a forbidden planet and they could never be together.
One day a powerful and evil force, Queen Metallia , took possesion of several humans, imbuing them with negative energy. The leader of this force, Queen Beryl was in love with Endymion as well and sought to make him hers. The Earth soon fell, but Endymion managed to escape to the moon.
The Princess and Prince Endymion, who wore a disguise, managed to have one last dance before the Negaverse attacked.
Endymion and Serenity were killed trying to reach each other, and Queen Serenity used all her energy to send her daughter, love and her guard to the future. And so, our story begins...
The First Season
Tuskino Usagi is your typical Japanese school girl, if typical is someone who is periodically late, pigs out on snack food and does poorly in school because she doesn't feel like studying to do better, until she saves a small black cat from a group of young boys.
That night, the cat come into her bedroom and introduces herself as Luna, and gives her a transformation brooch.
Usagi turns into the super-heroin Sailor Moon, champion of love and justice. Sailor Moon is anything but the average super-hero.  Her grace comes and goes and she tends so whine and complain rather then fight. Luna is constantly at a loss on what to do with her.
Despite these short commings, she's proven herself to be a loyal friend who is always there and would never abandon them.
It isn't long before Usagi has other Sailor Senshi join her.
Mizuno Ami is a new transfer student to Juban Middle School and already has a reputation as a "brain". A student who keeps to herself, it isn't a surprise that she doesn't have many friends. If that weren't enough, Luna's geting strange vibes off her, making her believe that Ami is a Monster from the Negaverse. After a small misunderstanding, Ami is revealed to be Sailor Mercury.
Mercury's water-based attacks are mostly for defense rather then offense, she perfers to analize the problem and find the weakness rather then rush in, fists flying.
During a small disturbance with dissappearing buses near a temple, Usagi runs into the resident priestess, Hino Rei.
Besides being Sailor Mars, Rei has ESP, which is quite useful when trying to locate monsters.
Rei has a firery temper and personality to match her powers, causing Usai and Rei to constantly butt heads on every thing from puntuality to leadership of the Senshi.
At times it's hard to believe their best friends!
If Ami is the brain of the Sailor Senshi, then Kino Makato is most definatly the brawn.
Kicked out of several schools for fighting, Makato quickly makes friends with Usagi with her wonderful cooking.
Makato is Sailor Jupiter, and her power is thunder. Makato has a tendency to fight first and ask questions later especially when her friends are at stake.
Besides being a great fighter and cook, Makato is also the most boy crazy in the group, causing her to fall for several different negaverse monsters, and comparing all her crushes to her old boyfriend. Her most famous line is saying, "He looks like my senpai!"
Aino Minako AKA Salior V in England AKA Sailor Venus.
Minako was the leader of the Senshi back on the Moon, before Sailor Moon showed up.
Minako and Makato rival each other in their boy chasing qualities. When she first shows up she seems cool and calm and then she later reverts to a more...ditzy personality as the show progresses.
Minako makes speeches like every Senshi, but she seem to have trouble remembering quotes. Hopless takes on a whole new meaning when you try and teach her some.
Of course , as if failing a test, meeting a talking cat and turning into a super-hero in one day wasn't enough, Usagi also meets Chiba Mamoru, the antagonist of her "normal" life.
Although Usagi wouldn't care if Mamoru was bitten by a rabid poodle, his alter-ego, Tuxdeo Kamen, is her definition of the perfect guy, meaning mysterious, handsom and charming, if not a little cold.
Tuxdeo Kamen doesn't fight much he just throws a rose to distract the enemy, say some "words of wisdom" and save Sailor Moon from certain doom.
When he's not flying through the city in a cape, Mamoru spends his time taking to his friend Motoki, the one-time crush of Usagi, studying and making Usagi's life a living hell, from her POV of course.
Due to life's sick little sense of humor, mortal enemies Usagi and Mamoru are also the reincarnations of Serenity and Endymion.
They discover their past lives the same day they find out that they're Sailor Moon and Tuxdeo Kamen.
Their joy was short lived when Mamoru was taken by the Negaverse.
Queen Beryl rules the Negavese with an iron fist, taking orders only from Queen Metallia. She has lusted after Endymion for some time and wastes no time brainwashing him into a lacky for the Negaverse and against Sailor Moon, much to her sorrow.
The other generals of the Negavers were ironically Endymion's old guard and trusted friends, until they were captured and brain washed. As if that weren't enough, the generals were also involved with the Senshi.
Jadeite was the first of the generals and was sentenced to eternal sleep by Beryl after too many failures.
Nephrite was killed by some Negaverse monster after saving Naru for Zoicite, and falling in love with her.
Zoicite was killed by Beryl for trying to kill Tuxdeo Kamen in a fight. He and Kunzite were a couple.
Kunzite was the only general that was actually killed by a Senshi. Sailor Moon used the power of the Silver Crystal to destroy him.
During the final battle, all the scouts die and Usagi manages to turn Mamoru back to the good side. Beryl hurls an ice crystal at them and  Endymion counters with a rose shattering the crystal and delivering a death blow to Beryl. Unfortunatly the shards become embeded into Endymion's back, killing him.
Beryl and Metallia merge together making her look like a 50 ft. vesrion of Beryl with blue skin.
Usagi turns into Princess Serenity and uses the crystal and Moon wand. The spirts of the senshi help the Princess destroy Metallia costing Usagi her life.
As she's dying she thinks, "When I wake up in the morning, the white lace curtains sway in the breeze. My clock chirps that it's 7:00. 'If you sleep any longer, you'll be late!' Mama cries out. I nod off thinking, 'Just let me sleep 3 more minutes.' I'm late, just like any other day. Teacher makes me stand in the hall, I fail another test. On the way home from school, I eat crepes with my friends. A party dress decorating the window catches my eye. Even the little things, make me happy. It's that...That ordinary life I want back. I want back.
She and the others are encompased in a bright pink light...
The next scene shows all the girls alive and well, with no memory of being Senshi. Usagi meets Mamoru the same way  she did last time, a crumpled test paper to the head.
The Doom Tree Saga
The Senshi were enjoying  their normal life when a large meteror hits the Earth. The occupants of the meteor Ail and Ann, are fighting for survival. Their lives depend on the survial of the Doom Tree, who lives of energy rather then water and sunlight.
In order to help save the world from the Aliens, Luna was forced to revive the Senshi.
The main sub-plot in this story is the love web. Ail (Seijuurou) has a crush on Usagi causing him and Ann (Natsumi) to argue constantly. Ann and Usagi are chasing after Mamoru, who has no memory of the Moon Kingdom, Saior Moon or Usagi.
Instead of Tuxedo Kamen, there is Tsukikage no Knight. Think Lawerance of Arabia with a sword and white rose.
During the final battle, Ail and Ann see the error of their ways, and Tsukikage no Knight was revealed to be Mamoru's fighting spirit, that's why he couldn't remember.
Ail and Ann leave to find a new world of their own, leaving Usagi and Mamoru at the hands of the gossip-hungy Senshi.
The Dark Moon Family
The  scene is a charming one. Usagi and Mamoru are taking a romantic boatride on the lake.  Usagi has one of her usual clutz attack while leaving the boat. She and Mamoru share a kiss and are interrupted by a small pink haired version of Usagi, landing on the original. After getting over the initial shock. The girl demands the silver cystal and even goes so far as to pull a gun on Usagi. Of course it wasn't a real gun and after some interrogation, the girl runs away.
The girl resurfaces at her house, calling herself Chibi-Usa, a cousin of Usagi. Chibi-Usa replaces Mamoru as the antagonist in her life. When she isn't hanging around Mamoru, instuling her every move, demanding the Silver Crystal and wetting her bed, Chibi-Usa is homesick and has several failed attempts to go home, usually attracting the attention of the enemy.
Usagi's happiness with Mamoru is short lived when the nightmares surface. Mamoru continues to have very vivid dreams about Usagi dying on their wedding day, unless he stays away from her. Not  willing to see his, "Usako"  ger hurt, Mamoru compies by droping her like a bad habit.  Poor Usagi doesn't know what's going on, so she constantly confronts him about it, only to get no direct answer other then a denial of their love.
The main threat thus far would be Rubeus and the Wierd sisters, Cooan, Beruche, Karaberas,  and Petz. Their main purpose is to capture Chibi-Usa, the Silver Crystal and to try and help their allies in the future by contaminating the past with negative energy. The Wierd sister are turned good and Rubeus is killed in a destperate attempt to catch the senshi.
In the process, Chibi-Usa learns the identies of the senshi, and must learn to put her trust in Usagi.
A new senshi is introduced. Sailor Pluto, guardian of the gate of time. Pluto's job is to guard the timeline and preserve the past present and future. Few people know of her and even less have seen her, making her existance a lonely one.
Rubeus's replacement is Esemerodo. Her main goal is to impress her crush, Prince Dimando, the leader of the Black Moon family.
Prince Dimando has two goals: Conqure Crystal Tokyo and marry it's queen.
Prince Safiel is Dimando's younger brother and is one of the first to suspect something is wrong with Wiseman.
Wiseman is Dimando's advisor and all around manipulater. He uses Dimando's emotions for the Neo-Queen and feeling about the earth to suit his needs.
It eventually becomes nessary for the scouts to travel to the future. There, they are greeted with a ruined city and a hologram of Neo-King Endymion, Mamoru's future self. Endymion reveals that he was the one who sent the nightmares, in order to test their love.
If Mamoru is the king, then Usagi is his wife, Neo-Queen Serenity,  the object of Dimando's obsession. Serenity is encased in crystal and the senshi of the future are the only ones keeping the city from falling.
Chibi-Usa is also revealed to be Usagi and Mamoru's daughter.
The crystal that Neo-Queen Serenity is trapped in is impervious to everything, including the Silver Crystal. It turns out that the Silver Crystal of the future has mysteriously dissappeared just before the Dark moon attacked, causing the palace to be vunerable and Neo-King to be injured.
Upset that her mother was still imprisoned, Chibi-Usa runs away crying. She leaves the safety of the sheild the future senshi have put around the palace and is confronted by Wiseman. He manipulates her into comming with him.
Wiseman uses Chibi-Usa's memories against her and makes her believe that she was neglected as a child and with the power of the dark crystal, he transforms her into Black Lady.
Wiseman also manipulates Esmerodo, turning her into a large dragon.
The senshi defeat the dragon, killing Esmerodo and making Safiel even more suspicious then before.
The senshi travel back to the present only to be confronted by Black Lady.
Despite their best efforts, Wiesman has too strong a hold of her. Black Lady is inent on destroying the earth that she believes has betrayed her.
Safiel overheard Wiseman plotting to destroy the world and Dimando for the sake of the Death Phantom.
Safiel takes an important component from Wiseman and runs to earth getting injured in the process. The Wierd sisters find him and take him back to their home, where Petz cares for him. It is revealed that Petz and Safiel were once a couple, and the romance seems to be re-kindled.Unfortunatetly for both of them, Safiel dies in the next battle by Wiseman's hand, trying to warn his brother of Wiseman's trechery.
The final battle starts. The scouts enter the crystal structure, trying to find Black Lady, Wiseman or Prince Dimando. The floor drops out from under Sailor Moon, taking her directly to Prince Dimando. Dimando tries to use his powers to have Usagi kiss him but she breaks free of his control and convinces him that his war is wrong and that Wiseman's evil. Dimando recalls Safiel's warning and realizes that she's telling the truth.
Wiseman tries to kill Sailor Moon and Dimando sacrifices himself to save her.
After killing Dimando, Wiseman tries to brainwash Sailor Moon, only to be stoped by Tuxedo Mask and the Senshi who had found their way to her.
The last obstilce to Wiseman was Black Lady. Almost every move that was made to turn Black Lady back into Chibi-Usa was countered by Wiseman. During the fight Sailor Moon turns into Neo-Queen Serentiy and manages to get Chibi-Usa back using the Silver crystal. Tired from the use, she turns back into Sailor Moon.
Wiseman, or Death Phantom as he's now called, attacks Sailor Moon. Still weak from the attack, she turns into Neo-Queen Serenity and tries to fight the Death Phantom.
The others notice that she's losing the battle and Chibi-Usa runs to Tudxeo Kamen for comfort.
She sheds a single tear that turns into another Silver Crystal.
Chibi-Usa and Neo-Queen Serenity combine their powers together and kill the Death Phantom
and themselves in the process.
Since their greatest wish was for the other to live, Usagi and Chibi-Usa were restored to life.
Chibi-Usa returns home and runs to see her family. She sees her mother and the senshi alive and well. She runs into her nothers arms and the city is restored back to it's usual beauty.
I'll take you home!
