Okay, after writing part 4 of To Last A Lifetime, I felt kinda guilty about how ditzy we made Mina, so this is to ease my conscious. So enjoy!

"Serenity, I want you to have this..." He hands her a heart shaped ring.

"Oh, Phoebes, I couldn't accept this..."

"Don't start! I want you to have this to remember me by."

Serenity turns away.

"You talk like you're not coming back."

He turns her towards him and hugs her.

"Of course I'm coming back! After all," he smirks "I'm getting married as soon as I return."

Serenity returns the embrace, "Then hurry back. You're fiancee isn't the most patient of women, you know."

With that the couple starts to laugh.

Serena wakes up from her dream in a cold sweat. She walks into the bathroom and splashes cold water on her face to wake her up.

'What was that?' She thinks looking into the bathroom mirror. 'Phoebes, who was he?'

Serena closes her eyes as the memories start to flood back into her. Her eyes open wide in shock. Slowly they start to fill with tears.

'Oh, Phoebes, you promised you'd come back, why'd you have to die...'

The next day...

"Serena!"

The blond turns her head to see a blond haired boy waving his hand, trying to catch up to the sprinting girl.

"Yes, Kevin, can I help you?"

"You..." He wheezes, "you should try out for track."

"Nah, I hate running, I just do it when I'm late, which is always."

"Well anyway, I was wondering..."

"Yes?"

"Well..."

Darien's smile quickly fades as he sees Serena walking into the arcade with another guy.

"Hi Darien!" Serena waves before sitting in a booth with Kevin.

Darien gets up and walks to the booth in time to hear some of the conversation.

"...and after dinner, a nice walk in the rose gardens in the park, with the full moon and all, it will be so romantic!"

"Okay, you're sure that tomorrow's good?"

Serena winks. "Trust me. We'll work out all the details at the park then." Kevin's smile simply grows wider.

"Thanks Serena! You're the best!" Kevin gives her a small hug and leaves, grinning like a fool.

'What was that about?" Darien all but growls.

Serena turns to him innocently.

"What was what?"

"Serenity!"

"Yes Phoebes? What can I help you with?"

"Um, well you see..."

"Hi guys!" Sailor Venus interrupts them. "What's up? I hope I wasn't disturbing anything."

Phoebes runs a hand through his golden blond hair and blushes, Serenity, on the other hand, was quite annoyed.

"Stop that right now Mina!"

Venus just drapes her arm around his shoulders.

"So Prince Phoebes, have you decided in who's the luck girl that's going to call herself your wife yet?"

Phoebes blushes even more.

"Mina, please leave. I need to talk to him, ALONE"

"Okay."Mina says seeming to let it go, then she calls out over her shoulder. "But you'd better let me know EVERYTHING that was said."

Kevin walks home, ecstatic that he was going to go on a date with a beautiful blonde when a figure appears.

"Prince Phoebes."

"What?" Kevin says stepping back. "Who are you?"

"I am your destiny..." The figure closes in on him...

The Next Day...

Serena waits in the park. The sun was beginning to set and Serena been here for over an hour, taking the time to come early.

"Where is he?"Serena pouts. "Kevin's never let me down before. He's always so punctual, especially since this is so important to him."

"Serenity..." A voice echoes into the trees.

Serena turns around and see a man with golden blond hair.

Kevin? Serena asks then she takes note of what he called her and the fact that he was wearing armor. "Phoebes," She whispers.

"Nice to see you doing so well," He says then he hisses "Princess."

Darien's head snaps up sharply as the familiar sensation of Serena in trouble comes into his head. He wastes no time in calling the scouts. They rush over to the park to see Sailor Moon locked in battle, to be more precise, her dodging the attacks, making no effort to attack.

"He's after Serena!"Tuxedo Mask growls.

"Oh my God." Mina states "It's Kevin! I can't believe it!"

"Mars Celestial Fire...SURROUND!"

Phoebes dodges it easily and Sailor Moon stares, horrified, at Mars.

"What were you trying to do? Kill him?" Sailor Moon hisses at her.

"Yeah, that was the idea."

"Are you nuts?"

"Geez! I was trying to save you from getting killed! How else was I supposed to stop him? Invite him for tea and cookies?"

"I won't let you hurt him!"

"Why don't you want us to attack him, Sailor Moon?" Tuxedo Mask asks angrily, still slightly upset about seeing them together in the arcade.

"He's," Sailor Moon says, slightly nervous. Then she turns to Phoebes. "he's..."

"Enough with this drivel!" A woman shouts appearing overhead.

"Vaxia!" Sailor Moon shouts "I should have known! Only you would stoop this low in order to defeat me!"

"What makes you think that this is just for the sake of defeating you?" Vaxia smiles "I happen to enjoy the prince's company. He's been quite...distracting."

At this point Sailor Moon looked mad enough to kill. Stepping towards the two, Sailor Moon says,"You'll never have him Vaxia, because you don't love him. To you he is nothing more than a pawn, a tool to extract revenge. I will not lose him among everything else!"

She pulls out a heart shaped ring.

"Phoebes! Do you remember this?" When she see a flicker of emotion in his eyes she continues"You gave it to me as a promise that you would return. You wouldn't want to break a promise would you?"

"Serena..." Tuxedo Mask started but the look that Sailor Moon gave him shut him up and stopped the comment that was going to come out of Mars' mouth.

"But he did come back." Vaxia replied.  Sailor Moon shakes her head.

"His body is here, but his mind is yet to be free." She turns back to him with pleading eyes. "Please Phoebes, come back to us. We're all here waiting for you to return still. All our friends, your fiancee, me." Tears start to pool over. "I miss you, we miss you. Please remember."

She steps forward and puts the ring into his hand. A bright white light emits from that ring as Phoebes falls to his knees.

"Ren..." He gasps before falling unconscious.

"NO!" Vaxia cries "That spell was impossible to break! He should still be under my control."

"Love," Sailor Moon replies before transforming into Princess Serenity "is stronger than anything. The power of my love will defeat you."

The scouts watch as the fight starts.

"Get him out of here!" Serenity shouts.

"But..." Venus starts to protest.

"That's an order!"

The scouts and Tuxedo Mask reluctantly agree to it picking up the unconscious man and take him to another part of the park.

"Ren?"

The scouts look up as Phoebes starts to wake up.

"He's coming around." Mercury says.

"Good. Now maybe we can get some answers."

Phoebes looks at the scouts and then at Tuxedo Mask.

"Prince Endymion? Why are you wearing that disguise?"

"We're asking the questions here." Tuxedo Mask all but growls. "What is it about you that Serena would risk her life to protect you?"

"Ren and I were pretty close on the moon," Phoebes replies, only noticing Tuxedo Mask, "I'm not surprised that she risked everything to save me though. You know Ren, she has a heart big enough for the whole universe."

Tuxedo Mask resists the urge to knock the smile that came to Phoebes lips as he said those words. A blinding light and a searing pain in his chest stopped the interrogation.

"Serena!"He runs to her, the scouts and Phoebes following close by.

When the scouts arrive, the see Serenity, collapsing from the exhaustion of crystal, turning back into Serena. Mina smirks as she sees a small pile of ashes being blown into the wind.

'I guess that would be Vaxia'

"Serena, Serena, are you okay?" Tuxedo Mask lightly shakes Serena.

"Hmmm. What? Tuxedo Mask? What happened? Where's..." She sees Phoebes. "Phoebes! You're all right! I was so worried!"

Hugs Phoebes.

"No way, you're stuck with me little sister."

"Little sister?" Everyone says confused.

"Yeah, Prince Phoebes of the Moon Kingdom, my big brother. Who'd you think it was?" Serena notices their blank stares. "Oh yeah, I forgot. You don't have all of your memories back yet. Since I have the crystal, I remembered sooner."

Phoebes powers down to Kevin, walks up to Venus and kisses her hand.

"If it wasn't for him being brainwashed and all, we were planning to have him sweep Mina off her feet." Serena comments as Mina blushes.

"So what I heard at the arcade was a plan for him and Mina?"

"Yeah, what'd you think it was?" Tuxedo Mask blushes. "You were jealous!"

"Well, maybe a little..."

Serena laughs and pulls him close.

"I'm very flattered Darien. I can't even remember you being jealous of me."

"Try every time I saw you flirting with Andrew."

"Mina," Kevin says pulling a ring out "I know you don't remember this, but before I went off to fight, you gave this to me as a promise that you'll be waiting for me when I came back."

He slipped the ring on her finger. The diamond shines brightly back at her.

"What?"  Mina says

"Princess! Mina! Please stop!"

Mina turns to see Phoebes calling her.

"Yes, what can I help you with Prince Phoebes?"

"Well actually I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to the Opera tonight?"

Mina smiles. "I'd like that."

Three Months Later...

"I don't understand! Why do you have to go!" Mina screams at Phoebes.

"It wouldn't be fair to the people that have no choice if I were to get out of the draft just for being royalty."

"To hell with being fair!"

"Mina, your making this harder then it already is."

"I don't want to lose you!" Mina sobs into his chest.

'"You won't in fact, I was hoping to make this relationship a little more...permanent." He pulls out a small velvet box. "Mina, my princess, will you marry me?"

"Oh Phoebes, yes, I will!" Mina hugs Phoebes and gives him a passionate kiss. She stops him when he starts to put the ring on her finger.  "No. Phoebes I want you to take it with you."

"But, it's your engagement ring!"

"Keep it. As a symbol that I'll be here for you when you return to me."

"One day away from you shall be an eternity, I can't imagine life without you."

"You'd better come back to me then." Mina says.

"I promise that I'll come back."

"You'd better." Mina says with a mischievous smirk. Or I might just have to replace you with someone else."

Phoebes just laughs at Mina?s joke before pulling her into a kiss.

"I'm sorry it took so long for me to return to you, my love." Phoebes says as he kisses her hand "But I did keep my promise, have you kept yours?"

"I..." Mina starts. "I don't know about this. I'm just starting to remember, I'm just really confused right now."

"Oh yeah," Serena says. "since you don't have your memories back yet, I'd better explain what's happening."

"That," Serena points to what's left of the dust. "is Vaxia, queen of Nexus."

"Nexus?"  Amy says confused. "What's Nexus?"

"Nexus was the planet in between Mars and Jupiter. Didn't you wonder where the asteroid belt came from?"

"Huh? I think you'd better continue."

"Okay. Nexus was a powerful planet, but it was one of the two planets in our solar system that wasn't part of the Silver Millennium, the second being Earth. Even though Nexus refused to join, we live peacefully with them...until Vaxia took control of the throne.

"She believed that we were weak and easily conquered. The people of Nexus were unusually strong, possessing telekinesis and advanced technology. They lashed out at the other planets, determined to conquer the system so Vaxia could rein as queen.

"The very best warriors from each planet came to form a counter strike. My brother was one of them..."

"When we got there, we were overwhelmed." Kevin continued. "I was spared only because the queen took some perverse interest in trying to corrupt me, I fought her at every turn determined to find some weakness. Then one day..."

Vaxia enters the main laboratory with Phoebes not far behind, chained.

"Well doctor, what do you have to report?" She hisses.

"You highness, I believe we have this war won."

"Tell me something I don't already know."

"Very well my liege. This is our super cannon." He gestures to a large machine. "It takes the magma from our core, converts it into energy, and then fires a beam of raw power at our targets."

He fires up the gun and destroys the moon revolving around the planet.

"Interesting. How far can it reach?"

"That has yet to be determined, but we believe that it can reach as far as the Earth."

"Then it can reach the palace on the Earth's moon?"

"Yes, we believe so."

Hear that little princey? You might as well kiss your mother and sister goodbye, because there won't even be dust when I'm through with them."

Phoebes keeps up his indifferent exterior while forming a plan...

That night...

Phoebes sneaks into the laboratory and powers up the gun. He was paying attention to every move the scientist made.

'Let's see, if I...'

He pushes buttons at random and soon the machine starts blaring.

"Warning! Core breached! Activate emergency shut down procedures!"

Phoebes continues to overload the gun.

"Warning! Planet integrity compromised! 5 min. to explosion."

Vaxia quickly escapes in a shuttle leaving the planet to it's fate.

Phoebes has locked himself in the laboratory. He looks at the diamond ring and thinks of his love waiting for him on the moon.

'I'm sorry Mina, my love, I'm afraid I won't be returning anytime soon...'

" 30 seconds to explosion."

'I'll always love you...'

His last thoughts were of her before the planet exploded creating the asteroid belt.

"The following year I got engaged to you Darien. You and Phoebes were very close." Serena says, tears welling in her eyes as memories came flooding back to her.

Mina was crying too by this time, her own memories being restored.

"Oh, Kevin..." Mina whispers.

"Do you remember?"

Mina nods."But, as strongly as I felt for you back then, I can't say the same for this time." Mina continues trying to get her point across as she sees Kevin's face drop. "Let me explain. I'm not the same person that I was 1,000 years ago. I'm sure you?ve changed too."

He nods his head, seeing the logic in her words, and trying to ignore his heart breaking.

"I want to start over, take things slow so we can get to know each other again." She smiles "Then we'll see where we go from there."

Kevin smiles and nods and offers his arm. "Shall we get started Milady?"

Mina giggles as she takes his arm.
