"Class, this is a new student, Derek," Ms Haruna says in a monotone voice, motioning to the silver haired boy next to her. "He just came here from France, so please try to make him feel welcome."

'Oooh,' Serena thinks, 'What a hunk!'

"To help show him around the school, I've chosen Serena."

"ME!?"

'Haruna must've blow a gasket to assign me to him! I thought she'd choose someone smart for sure!'

Derek walks up to her and kisses her hand, the girls swoon.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Ms. Tsukino. " He responds in a thick accent.

"Um, It's just Serena, please."

"What ever you wish, ma petite deesse."

Serena blushes.

"And here's the arcade, I come here a lot." Serena says "Please tell me if I'm annoying you with my babbling."

"Not at all, tu as une voix tres belle."

"Hi Serena, who's your friend?"

Serena immediately straightens her posture at the sound of Andrew's voice.

'So, she likes this guy...'

"Hi Andrew this is Derek. He just came here and Ms. Haruna assigned me to show him around."

"My condolences." A deep voice says form behind.

Diamond looks to see Darien.

'She's already found him? But, Wiseman's never been wrong before!'

"And what is that supposed to mean Darien?"

"I feel sorry for the guy if he has to hang around a clumsy, meatball-headed ditz like you for a long period of time."

Serena?s face turns three shades of red, as fury started to build.

"Pardonez-moi, mais I could not have asked for better company than Ms. Tsukino, and I don't think she appreciates being insulted like that."

Derek takes Serena's hand. "If you will allow me, I will buy you a sundae to make up for this man's insults."

With that, he offers Serena his arm. She giggles and accepts then they walk to a corner booth in the cafe

Darien is not particularly thrilled at the display.

'I don't understand! Why am I feeling like this? She's just a klutz!'

"Thanks for helping me out with that jerk Darien." Serena says gratefully.

"He must be insane to insult such a beautiful woman."

Serena blushes.

"You really don't have to buy me a sundae."

"I insist."

"Okay, but I need to do something to thank you for being so nice."

"Will you allow me to take you to a movie tonight?"

"Like on a date?"

"Oui." He chuckles at Serena?s confused expression. "It means yes."

"Okay! I'll meet you outside the theater at 6:30, okay?"

"Magnifique." He gets up. "I'm afraid that must being going now." He gets up as Andrew brings the sundae and kisses her hand. "A bientot, ma deesse."

Serena watches him leave and stares at the door for a long time before she notices her sundae. She immediately starts to eat it.

"So what's up? You seem happier than usual."

"I have date with Derek tonight!" Serena says forgetting about her sundae "He's so nice, and he's handsome too." She continues eating. Once she finishes, she gets up.

"Well, gotta go! Bye!" She skips out the door, ponytails flying.

"So what's she so happy about?"

"Oh she's got a date with that French guy."

'What!? Serena's going out with that guy? What does she see in him?"

"Yo Dare, you okay?" Andrew asks waving his hand in front of Darien's face. No response. Andrew decides to tease him.

"Don't tell me you actually LIKE her."

Darien snaps out of his little daydream.

"WHAT?! NO!!"

Andrew ignores him.

"Well this explains the teasing. I guess Meatball Head is a pretty cute nickname..."

"Andrew," Darien says in a low, dangerous voice, "I do NOT like Serena and even if I did, and that's a BIG if, she's 14, I'm 19."

"Five years difference, so what? My parents are 10 years apart."

"Andrew, please, even if I did like her, and that's a BIG if, she hates my guts!"

"Who's fault is that? You're nice to everyone else, just be nice to her and she'll be crazy about you!"

"Hey Darien?" Raye asks, surprising the fighting friends. "I just wanted to see if we were still on for the movies tonight."

"7 o' clock, right? I'll meet you there 15 min before the movie starts."

Raye smiles, nods and leaves.

"What were you saying about dating 14 year-olds?"

"Oh SHUT UP ANDREW!"

Darien arrives at the theater to see Raye anxiously looking around for him.

"Hi Darien!" Raye says rushing over to him.

"Hey Raye,"

The conversation, however, was cut short when a familiar blond was heard.

"Come on! What does deesse mean?"

"My secret, if you want to find out, you'll have to learn French."

"Oh man! I have enough trouble with English and Japanese."

"Serena?" Raye says coming up to the couple

"What are you doing here?" Serena asks Raye.

"I'm on a date with Darien." Raye motions towards him.

Serena glares at Darien before turning to Raye.

"My condolences."

Derek laughs, as Darien returns Serena's glare.

Raye decides that she should be the one to try and break the tension.

"What are you guys watching?" Asks Raye, with her arm linked to Darien's.

Serena shrugs.

"I heard that Ever After is playing." Derek says.

Serena squeals. "I've always wanted to watch that!" She exclaimed.

Raye rolled her eyes while Darien was seething by how Derek was holding Serena's hand. Derek smiles mockingly as he holds Serena's hand even tighter.

"Let us go, Mademoiselle." Derek says as he leads Serena to the ticket booth.

"Have fun Raye!" Serena calls out. "At least as much fun as you can have with that jerk!"

"Two please." He says to the girl behind the booth.

Serena looks at him happily. He smiles warmly and gives Darien a challenging look.

'That's it!' Darien shouts in his mind. "We're seeing that movie, Raye." He says firmly. Raye looks at him as if he's gone crazy.

"Huh? You hate romance!" She exclaims.

"I think I'm starting to like it." He mutters angrily as he buys their tickets. Raye shrugs.

'This just means I can cuddle up to him.' She thinks happily.

"Oh that's so sad..." Serena says as Danielle's father dies of a heart attack. She starts to cry and Derek puts a hand over he shoulder and whispers comforting words to her in French.

Two rows behind them, Darien glares at the romantic picture that Serena and Derek make, he is not very happy at the moment.

Raye notices Derek making a move on Serena and decides it's time to try her own techniques...

Seeing what Serena was doing with Derek, Raye looks ready to do the same

'Hmm, this is my chance to get cozy with Darien!' She thinks.

She doesn't notice the fact that her date is steaming as he watches the scene before them.

'What is he DOING?? He's holding her? Holding my Meatball Head? How dare he!' He thinks, his thoughts are broken by Raye who put her head on his shoulder.

He gives her a weird look.

But then changes his mind and an evil smile replaces the look.

He puts his arm on her shoulder instead.

Raye sighs happily.

"Sapphire, what information have you found?" the Wiseman asks.

"The Sailor Scouts are here with the addition of one called Sailor Moon." Sapphire says.

"Good. Have you come up with a plan to destroy the Scouts and their leader?"

Sapphire smiles.

"My plan will come to action. Two youmas has been sent to Tokyo Tower." He says.

"Excellent. Make sure you do not fail me." The Wiseman says.

"Derek, thank you so much for that movie. And for the ice cream!" Exclaims Serena.

Derek smiles.

"It is but my pleasure ma deesse." He says.

They walk towards the park. But their little stroll is cut short by a scream and Serena's beeping communicator.

They both stop on their tracks.

"Er, Derek, I just remember that I forgot something back at the cinema." Serena says.

"At the cinema? All right, I'll...see you tomorrow!" Derek says with a smile though he's actually boiling inside.

'Sapphire!' He thinks.

Serena runs to an alley she saw before and transform quickly.

A seething Darien sulks in his apartment.

"She didn't even notice me and Raye..." He says slightly annoyed, "She was too busy cuddling with that Derek guy."

'What does Meatball Head see in that guy? Better not think about that now! I've got to find my princess. This is no time to be thinking about a klutz, even if she is beautiful and loving and...'

Darien was about to yell at himself mentally when he felt a familiar tingle in the back of his mind.

'Sailor Moon's in trouble!'

He immediately changes into Tuxedo Mask and proceeds to follow his instincts that will tell him where to find Sailor Moon.

'It's funny,' His mind thinks as he runs across the rooftops, 'It's seems all the girls I like have the most crazy hairstyle. The Princess, Serena, Sailor Moon...wait a sec...Sailor Moon? Don't tell me I like her too!'

'No of course not! You're just protecting her and making sure THEY don't win.'

'Just forget the fact that she looks absolutely breathtaking when she defeats a youma, with those rosy cheeks and slightly messy hair...'

'Better watch it Romeo...you're still trying to sort out your feelings for the Princess and Meatball Head.'

'Since we're on the subject, you DO NOT like Serena!'

'Yeah, right! Who are you trying to kid?'

"Mars Fire...Ignite!" Mars shouts.

The other scouts arrived just on time.

"Guys!" Sailor Moon exclaims.

"Couldn't handle the pressure, Sailor Moon?" Mars teases.

Sailor Moon growls.

"Hmph! For your information I was about to dust that youma before you arrived." She says.

"We believe you, girl. Now let's dust this ugly!" Exclaims Jupiter. "Jupiter Thunder...Crash!" She shouts.

"According to my calculation, this youma is much more powerful than any of the other youmas we fought." Mercury says.

"I sense it too. This is a sudden change." Mars says, just barely avoiding one of the monster's attacks.

"How can the Negaverse create such powerful youmas so quickly?" Mercury asks suspiciously.

"I don't know. And the girl this thing attacked didn't carry a rainbow crystal. I thought they were after them." Moon says.

A meeting was held the next day to discuss the battle.

"And they were powerful. Too powerful." Finishes Raye.

"Hmm. That is strange." Luna says.

"Not even the Negaverse could increase the energy level of their youmas in such a short period of time." Says Artemis.

"Then there is only one explanation." Mina says.

"What's that?" Asked Serena.

"A new enemy." Answers Amy.

Mina nods while the rest groans.

"Sapphire!" Diamond bellows

"Yeah what is it Diamond?"

"I want Sailor Moon alive! How in the world am I supposed to win her heart if she's off fighting monsters every five seconds!?"

"Calm down! We were just testing their strength, plus we need to kill the strongest of the Sailor Scouts, namely their leader, Sailor Venus, before they get stronger!"

"Do what you want to the others, just don't hurt Sailor Moon."

"Yes Diamond."

Wiseman appears as Diamond leaves.

"He's right. Sailor Moon will be more useful to us alive then dead. She is the only one who can control the Silver Imperium Crystal when it appears. By combining the power of both crystals, we will be invincible."

"But is it really that strong?"

"It has power beyond you're understanding...but we need Sailor Moon as an ally, not an enemy. Call off the attacks."

"But..."

"The Negaverse shall be more than enough trouble for the time being."

"Yes Wiseman. I'll call off the attacks, for now."

After the meeting was over, Serena walks towards the park.

Suddenly, she hears someone calling her name.

"Serena!"

She turns, to find Derek.

"Hi Derek!" She exclaims.

"Would you like to have an ice cream with me?" He asks.

She squeals happily.

"I'd LOVE to! I love ice cream!" She exclaims.

"Then come on!" He says, pulling her towards an ice cream parlor.

That night...

Serena's talking on the phone with Derek.

"So are we on for the movies again?" Derek asks.

"Well, there's really not anything good playing..."

"How about dinner instead?"

"Great! It's a date! By the way, I bought myself a French-Japanese Dictionary on my way home and I found out what deesse means."

"And...?"

"I am not a goddess!"

"Do you want to bet?"

Serena blushes.

"Please don't call me that. It's...not me. I could never in a million years think of my self as a goddess."

"What shall I call you instead? I want it to be a special name that I have just for you." Serena's blush grows deeper. "Je sais! What is your middle name?"

"Um, it's Usagi."

"Tres bon! I shall call you, 'ma petite lapinne.'"

"Ma petite lapinne?"

"It means, 'My little rabbit.'

"Guys, you know this new guy at our school, Derek is really strange." Mina says

"You mean that hot guy that Serena's hanging out with?" Asks Lita dreamily.

Mina smacks her forehead with her hand.

"Don't tell me you're falling for the guy!" Exclaimed Mina.

"Mina, I don't detect any dark energy from him. He's just an ordinary human, you worry too much." Amy says.

Mina narrows her eyes in suspicion.

'Maybe that's what he wants us to think.'

" I think Serena's so lucky! I mean, he's so totally cute! Just like..." Lita starts.

"...you're old boyfriend." Raye retorted. "Lita, was your old boyfriend a chameleon or something? Every other guy we pass on the street looks like him!"

Lita glares at Raye, the others sweat drop.

"Uh, Serena late, even with detention, I wonder where she is?" Amy says, trying to break the tension.

"Good question. Where is that ditz!" Raye says, backing away from Lita.
