This story focuses on Raye. I'm trying to go by the comic book version, meaning that Raye kills Jadeite, he wasn't imprisoned by Beryl. Enjoy!

Most people would think that walking through the graveyard at night is creepy.
I couldn't care less.
My mind can see only one thing at the moment, or should I say person?
I lay the flowers don on one tombstone. It simple reads:
Here lies Jadeite 973-990.
I touch the years. He was only 17! Still so young! The grave hasn't been tended to for a long time. I pull the weeds out and notice that there is something else written on the tombstone. After a little more work, I can read the inscription:
Beloved Husband.
Husband?
They wrote that?
I can feel my cheeks turning red as I remember...
The Moon had some absurd rule about forbidding the princess from going there. I never did understand it. The people of Mars got alone just fine with those from earth. Heck, I was even engaged to one!
My Jadeite was always courting me, ever since we met. I once asked him why he was so persistent, he looked strait into my eyes and told me that it was because we were soul-mates
I asked him how he could be so sure. He merely looked into me again and said nothing more. Somehow, I understood, I can?t explain it, but I understood.
I was on a natural high for a few months, the wedding was conning how could I not? Then something happened that made my world come crashing down around me.
I became a Sailor Scout.
As Sailor Mars, I was bound with the same restrictions as Princess Serenity was.
Forbidden to go to the Earth when I was so close to it.
Forbidden to see Jadeite.
It was then that I decided to do something about it. I was the only one that had been to Earth and I brought it up on more then one occasion.
I quickly captured the princess's attention.
She would ask question after question about the Earth and I would always end the conversation by saying, "If only you could see it. Such a shame it's forbidden."
It didn't take much to convince her to sneak off to Earth.
The trick was trying to look shocked when they told me she ran off. We retrieved her several times before she found Prince Endymion, and of course his guard. Everyone paired off as Jadeite and I supposedly went off to find an AWOL general, when we just needed to talk.
That conversation is scared into my soul forever.
"So," He began. "You?re a Sailor Scout now."
"Yeah."
"Is that why I haven't heard from you for 3 months?"
"I've tried to send word but I couldn't. I'm forbidden."
He turns to me grabbing my shoulders. "Forbidden from talking to your fiance?!"
"I'm bound by the same rules as the Princess. I can't come to Earth to visit you anymore. Can you come to the Moon?"
"No, I'm sworn to serve Prince Endymion."
"As I am to the Princess."
"Can they make an exception?"
"I've tried, but the Queen turned down my plea. It took me a while to get down here in the first place."
He turns to me with a small smirk. "Am I to understand that it was you that it was you who put the idea into the Princess;s head to run off to a forbidden planet?"
"I might have mentioned it once or twice." He smiles and draws me closer.
But I stop him before we could kiss.
"Jadeite, we can't."
"Why not? We're still betrothed."
"But when can we get married? Where will we live? Jadeite, we can never be together!"
He puts his hand over his chest. "We're together here. That's all that matters."
"I can't ask you to honor your pledge to me."
"No, I won't lose you! When the Princess becomes Queen, she'll let us be together!"
"The queen will rein for another century or more. Since we are Serenity's guard, we'll have long life spans as well. I release you from our betrothal."
"No, I can't, I won't..."
I quickly kiss him, putting the engagement ring in his hand.
I run away and go back to the Moon before the others left.
I spent the following months trying to keep the Princess away from Earth. I was alone on this since that other scouts fell for the other generals.
Usually I would stay on the Moon and create alibi after alibi for them or when I had to go to Earth I would stay with the Prince and Princess.
Jadeite kept his distance from me as well.
Eventually news of what was happening reached Venus and Mars. Father pleaded my case but Queen Serenity rejected it again, especially since the others would look for any reason to sneak off to Earth.
Mina's father, took her back to Venus and the Queen put me in charge of the scouts.
I dove into my work, mostly to keep my mind off of Jadeite.
I was not surprised when the others started to call me "Anal" or "Hun" behind my back.
I was happy when Venus came back, especially when I say Jadeite with a redhead. Now there was no reason to come to Earth. I mostly stayed in the gardens, mourning for him as if he were dead. They attacked too quickly for us to react.
The redhead killed the prince, the princess took her own life out of grief and I, I was slain by my precious Jadeite.
None of the others know my guilt.
I'm the only one of the Scouts that has actually killed the one they loved. He was burned to ashes by my fire!
I sob loudly as I place the lilies on his grave.
Roses were Darien's favorite, it wouldn't be appropriate to give them to Jadeite. Besides lilies were his favorite flower, he used to call me his lily...
I let myself sob for a moment before I get up and dust myself off. I though my fingers to my lips, then to the tombstone.
Goodbye, my love.
Maybe we'll meet again...
Someday.
I turn and walk back to the temple. I pause for a moment. I could have sworn I saw something...
No, I guess it was only a shadow. I continue to walk back home.
I have much work to do.
