NO title, I can't think of one, though I'm totaly open to suggestions. I'd like to thank LunarBard for first giving me the idea, my editors, Alicia Blade (of course) and the follwing people who suggested it too, Rhiannon Cunnah, Andrea Readwolf, and I'm sure there's some others, sorry I forgot to mention you if I did. Well, enough with my monologue that sound more like an Oscar's speech. On with the story!

"Rini!" Neo-Queen Serenity calls out into the gardens. "Rini, where are you?"

"I'm up here!"

Neo-Queen Serenity looks up and sees her oldest daughter in a tree, reading a book.

'Lita's had too much influence on that girl.'

"Rini, honey, get down from there!" Neo-Queen Serenity calls out. "We're expecting company!"

Rini jumps down from the tree to look at her mother.

"Really, who?"

Neo-Queen Serenity looks at her fifteen-year-old daughter with a hint of mischief.

"That's a surprise."

"Aw, come on Mom, you know I hate surprises!" Rini whines at a pitch not unlike her mother's.

"I think you should wait and see what it is Small Lady." Neo-King Endymion says as he walks up to the pair.

Rini crinkles her nose.

"Daddy, when will you stop calling me that? I'm not small any more."

"You'll always be 'Small Lady' to me."

"Just be glad that you're father didn't pick up any of my father's bad habits. Such as his treatment toward suitors."

Rini is half amused, half scared at the thought of her father chasing a poor young man from the palace, rapier in hand, like she had seen her grandfather do so many times.

It was most definitely not something she would wish on her worst enemy, let alone a boyfriend.

"Being chased away from you house was enough to convince me of doing such a thing to my child." Neo-King Endymion said.

"Now come, they'll be here soon."

"Oh, and Rini," her mother adds, "don't dress too formally. The company's old friends of the family."

*****

One hour later...

Rini walks into the throne room, still confused as to who the company is.

"Let's see, Molly and Melvin are in Paris on their third, or is it fourth honeymoon? Andrew and Rita...no, I just saw them yesterday and Mom and Dad wouldn't make a big deal out of them coming anyway...maybe Uncle Sammy, no he's not a friend of the family, he IS family..."

"Hey Cotton-candy Head! You don?t want to hurt yourself by thinking too much"

Rini straightens herself instinctively.

'Only one person has ever called me that...'

She turns around slowly.

A young man with brown hair and eyes greets her, his hair falling into his eyes and a playful smirk on his lips.

"Jordan..."

'Damn! He looks good!'

"Happy to see me?"

"I-I" Rini stars to stutter. "Don't call me 'Cotton-candy Head'!"

"Aw, why not? It suits you."

"I don't like it, that's why not!"

"Hm, nope. That reason's not good enough."

"Rini, why don't you show Jordan around?" Neo-Queen Serenity suggests. "It's been almost ten years since he's last been here."

"Yes mother."

"So what have you been up to?" Jordan asks.

"Learning to be all prim and proper. How about you?"

"Nothing much, I'm a teacher now."

"You're a teacher?"

"Yeah, surprised?"

"A little, so what brings you back?"

"Say hello to your new tutor."

"What?"

"Didn't your mother tell you?"

"No, she didn't."

"Oh well, your first sessions is in fifteen minutes, I'd better set up the classroom. Don't be late!"

*****

"Mother!" Rini says as she storms into the throne room.

"Yes dear?" Neo-Queen Serenity answers innocently.

"What do you think you're doing? Hiring Jordan, of all people, as my tutor!"

"Your grades have been slipping." Neo-King Endymion says, taking control of the situation.

To have his wife lecture his daughter about her grades could possibly be THE single most hypocritical thing a parent has ever said to their child.

"I was thinking about hiring a tutor for some time, and Jordan came highly recommended."

"But..."

"No buts, except yours in the classroom. It's time for your first session."

Rini angrily grumbles as she storms down the palace hallway.

"I can't believe that pig faced little runt's going to tutor me! ME! He's probably still drooling over Mom. Oh!"

Rini stops for a moment to stare angrily at the ceiling.

"What did I ever do to you?"

"You're late." Jordan smirks at the fuming Rini entering the classroom.

'She does look like her mother,'

Rini glares at him.

"Bite me."

'And it seems that she got the temper too.'

"Be nice."

Jordan says as she sits down.

"I want you to know that I am strongly against the idea of you tutoring me!"

"Why? Afraid I'm going to get back at you for the time that Serena baby-sat me?"

Rini froze.

"How, how could you remember that you weren't older then three!"

"I, my dear, have a photographic memory. I remember every detail about a lot of things. You insane jealously for example."

"I was not jealous!"

The conversation however was interrupted by a five-year-old girl peaking her heads though the doorway.

"Rini," she says. "What are you doing in here?"

"Can you believe it, Mary? Dad thinks I need tutoring!"

"I'm afraid you'll have to leave," Jordan says with a mischievous smile "that is unless you want to be tutored too..."

Mary's eyes grow wide and she quickly leaves her big sister at the mercy of Jordan.

'So much for blood being thicker then water...'

"Now let's get started..."

*****

"Hey Rini!" A boy bounces up to her. "Heard that Dad got you a tutor."

"Shut up Andrew!"

Rini was starting to get a good feeling at what her mother had to go through when she was young. At least she didn't have the 'twin terrors' to worry about.

"Hi Rini!" Mary says coming up to her.

"Traitor!"

"What'd I do?"

"You left me alone with that arrogant jerk!"

"Who? You're tutor? He's hot!"

"You're too young to be thinking about boys!" Rini snaps at Mary.

"Look who's talking."

Rini turns around to see Lita smirking at her.

"Hey! Anyway Jordan is a totally conceited jerk!"

'Even if he is hot.'

"Nice to know you think so highly of me."

Rini turns around yet again to see Jordan smirking as well.

"I don't recall inviting you into this conversation."

"Last time I checked, we were quite free to do whatever we wanted, butting in on conversations included."

Rini's already pink face grew to a deep red. "If you will excuse me," She said through grated teeth, "I have a prior appointment."

She and Lita leave for her training session.

*****

One hour later...

"Ouch! That's enough for today." Lita says rubbing her shoulder.

"What? But I just got warmed up!"

"No way! You're gonna have to find another partner!" Walking away Lita mutters, "Remind me never to spar with that girl when she's mad."

"Great! Now what am I going to do?"

Just then Jordan walks in.

"Hey, what's up? I just saw Lita walking away. She was muttering something about not fighting an angry princess?"

"Never mind! If you'll excuse me, I'll be leaving."

"So soon? I was hoping we could have a little match."

Upon hearing this Rini perked up.

'I can get back at Jordan for insulting me.'

"Deal."

"Okay, what are the rules?"

"As long as you don?t seriously injure your opponent, there are no rules."

"Well then, let's get started."

Rini throws the first punch, which Jordan quickly dodges, laughing.

Rini, getting upset, does a jump kick, which Jordan dodges again, making Rini crash into the ground.

"Will you stop dodging me and attack?" Rini says, obviously upset.

"Well, okay. But you asked for it." Jordan follows through with a punch that knocks the wind out of Rini.

'Oww, I'll be feeling that tomorrow.'

Rini does her best to block the next punch but it still has enough force to knock her into the wall.

"Do you give up?" Jordan asks with a smirk.

Rini just glares at him and braces herself for the next blow.

His fist is drawn back, Rini holds her breath, and...

Nothing.

Rini opens one eye to see Jordan's fist millimeters away from her face.

"I think it's safe to say, I win." Jordan says with another smirk.

He lowers his head so it's close to hers.

"What do I get for winning?"

Rini continues to glare as a small boy's voice interrupts the scene.

"Ooooooo! Rini and Jordan, sitting in a tree..." Andrew sings in one of his most annoying voices.

"Hey!" Rini growls. "You'd better take that back!"

"K-I-S-S-I-N-G!" Andrew continues.

"Just wait until I get my hands on you!" Rini says, running towards the small boy.

"Eeep!" Andrew says, running down the hallway with Rini in close pursuit. Jordan just laughs.

*****

Dinner time

"So Rini." Neo-Queen Serenity says. "How did your tutoring session go today?"

"Fine, I just wish I had a different tutor."

"Now Rini," Neo-King Endymion says in a stern voice. "We've discussed this before. He's had a wonderful success rate in his other students."

"I think she has a crush on him." Andrew says.

"I do not!" Rini hisses back, giving her little brother a deadly look.

"Why not?" Mary asks. "I think he's gorgeous."

"Enough about this." Neo-Queen Serenity says, turning to her son. "I've had a talk with your teacher."

Andrew suddenly didn't seem so amused. "You did?"

"Yes, something you want to tell me?"

"Uh, like what?"

"Oh, something about a pig and the girl's bathroom."

Andrew starts to laugh nervously, and let's leave this scene out of pity for the young boy.

*****

Two months later...

"Well, that's it for today's lesson." Jordan says, snapping Rini out of her daze.

"Great, can I go now?" She says, trying her best to sound annoyed.

"Not yet, I'd like to say good-bye."

"Good-bye? What do you mean 'Good-bye'?"

"Your grades are back up, so there's no need for a tutor any more." He says looking at her. "Don't look so surprised. You should be celebrating, you're finally getting rid of me."

"When are you leaving?" Rini asks.

"Tomorrow." He says then exits the room, leaving behind a confused princess.

'Why AM I so down? He?s right I should be happy. No more study sessions, no more extra homework, no more Jordan...'

"Rini?" Neo-Queen Serenity says as she peaks her head through the door.

"Yeah Mom?"

"I wanted to tell you how glad I am that your grades are back up. I thank the gods everyday that you got your father's mind. Jordan's done a good job."

"I guess."

"It's nice to see him again. He's grown up to become so handsome."

"I wouldn't know. He's such a jerk!" Rini looks at her mother strangely when she starts to laugh. "What's so funny Mom?"

"Oh, nothing just thinking."

"About...?"

"If you were to ask me my opinion of your father before we got together, I would've said the same thing."

"What are you getting at? That I'M in love with Jordan?"

"Did I say that? I'm merely stating something that I would have done. Do you know what my biggest regret is, besides not studying?"

"No Mom, what is it?"

"Not acknowledging what my heart already knew, that I spent so much time fighting love instead of embracing it. That I was in denial about my feelings for you father. I made such a huge mistake and almost lost him, I just glad I realized it before it was too late."

She gets up and walks towards the door. "Jordan's ride leaves the palace at 7:00 I hope you?ll be there to see him off."

*****

That night...

Rini tosses and turns in her sleep as a thunderstorm rages. Suddenly she stops and settles into a peaceful sleep with one word on her lips, "Jordan..."

*****

The next day...

"Good-bye Jordan," Neo-Queen Serenity says as she hugs him. "It was so good to see you again."

"I was good to see you too."

"Don't be such a stranger next time." Neo-King Endymion says as he give Jordan a fatherly embrace.

"I won't." Jordan says as he turns to the twins.

"Promise?" Mary asks looking at him with puppy-dog-eyes.

"Promise." Jordan answers smiling and ruffling her hair.

"Come back soon, I hate being the only boy around here!"

Jordan laughs and his smile fades slightly at the fact that Rini wasn't there so say good-bye. With a final good-bye to his the group, he turns to leave.

"Jordan!" He turns around to see Rini running towards him. "Wait up!"

She finally catches up to him, out of breath and messily dressed.

"Slept in Cotton-candy Head?" Jordan asks, more then slightly amused.

Rini surprises everyone there by wrapping her arms around Jordan's neck.

"Shut up."

And kisses him. Jordan, after getting over the initial shock, wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him.

"Ew!" Andrew says sticking his tongue out. "That's disgusting!"

"Just wait a couple of years," Neo-King Endymion says, "you'll be singing a different tune then."

After finally breaking from their kiss, Rini sighs.

Jordan smiles as he tilts her head up.

"Listen I have to go now, but I assure you that you haven't seen the last of me."

"Jordan, I have to tell you. I..."

"Shh..." Jordan says as he lowers his lips to hers. "I know. I love you too."

After one final kiss, Jordan leaves.

Rini stares into the sky and says, "Mom?"

"Yes Rini?"

Rini turns to her smiles and hugs her. "Thank you."

"For what?"

"For making me realize that I love him."

One year later...

Rini sits in her tree and tries her hardest to read the book in front of her.

Despite her best efforts, her attention keeps on focusing on the diamond engagement ring on her finger.

Jordan gave it to her during a visit last week, and now the wedding plans are being made. She looks up into the sky and smiles.

"I love you."

"I love you too."

Rini looks down to see Jordan laughing at her.

"Jordan! What are you doing here?"

"What? I can't visit my fiancee?"

Rini glares at him good-naturedly and climbs down from the tree.

"Missed me that much huh?" Rini asks tying her arms around his neck.

"Nah, I just like playing with you little brother and sister."

"You are impossible!"

"Would you have me any other way?" Jordan asks with a mischievous grin.

Rini laughs and kisses him for an answer.
