The solitary thing all humans know Anger, jealousy, deceit Feeding the persistent flame OF a lie Pushing us, calling to our soul Beckoning our evils within Vindictive, addictive, seductive Engulfing our hearts Knowingly causing destruction Forcing words of evil Flowing from our icy lips And yet we continue Day after painful day Wondering farther and farther Into the dark, igniting caverns Of the hell of a true lie Sparks of jealousy Feeding our souls Building cages of indifference When will we escape The strangling chains of deceit Smothering our essences Imprisoning our thoughts Swallowing our intimacy with each other Heavenly rays of truth Lost so many lifetimes ago Trying, forcing itself through the cracks Of our own imperfect lies How long will it take for us To finally accept our fate And bathe our hearts, minds, and souls In the purity of truth?
