Whether you come for a party, the holidays, or for consolement of the lose of a friend or family member.. there will always be room in grandma's kitchen, we'll make the room. There have been tears of lose and tears of joy that have been shared while en la cosina. Whether she is watching her novelas, preparing lunch, or dinner for my tios who are getting ready to go to work, you will find grandma in her kitchen a majority of the time. I have lost love, and gained love in this kitchen.. It often reminds me of my grandpa blackie and how he ruled the "kitchen tv." Or, when my tia lola use to come over to talk to my grandma.. boy how we miss her visits.. but now that both of them are away from us.. in grandma's kitchen is where their love will stay. |
