Acropolis
The Acropolis in the center of Athens. Once in your live you have to see it. Unfortunately to many tourists had the same idea. It was very crowded and some construction was going on. But the view is really incredible.
Than we moved to Santorini. A 50 minutes flight if Olympic Airways can find a pilot. He was missing for more than an hour. The volcanic island of Santorini is a dream. Going around by car you find beautiful landscapes, cliffs, beaches and romantic villages.

The red Beach
Every day we enjoyed the sunset. They were spectacular. The Greece wine is delicious and was better than we expected. To find a good restaurant is not so easy. Many serve only expensive ordinary "tourist-food". It's better to ask local people for advice. Don't miss the red, white and black beach. The volcanic sand and clear water is a very interesting combination. The water temperature beginning of October is still OK to enter the ocean.

The hotel "The Tsitouras Collection" is the best place to stay. It's like living in a museum. The ocean view is great. A sunny morning with breakfast on the balcony makes it perfect. Besides the beaches we visited the volcano and enjoyed walking through the small alleys in the villages. It was the last week before all shops closed for the winter season. On the flight back to Japan we had time for a 3 hours stop in Milan for shopping.
