This is the stage it's currently at. It's taken some time, but i'm only half way there.
So far, the motor has been professionally rebuilt TWICE, to about 400hp and the gearbox has been strengthened to cope, with a stage 2 shift installed.
I have replaced the doors, the tailgate and both bumpers. The rear bumper is off an XH, and i had the hole for the exhaust filled up, due to it having a twin system, and dumping beneath the bumper.
A new tray has been welded in the back as the old one had done a few too many loads. It wasn't much fun un-welding the factory welds, then having to re-weld it all back in again. It all lined back up, which was surprising.
We lightened the car by about 30kg, with all the bog in the tray, and the dirt beneath the tray.
Slotted discs are up front, and the rear is just the standard drums, which i am leaving, because the diff is staying until i blow it up, just so i can see how long it lasts.
something's missing....
This is the rebuild section of my webpage.
As you can see, the ute has had quite a bit of change.
On the weekend before 2004 new years, i pulled the car off the road, and it sat cooped up in a corner for about 3 1/2 months before it got work started on it.

I removed the clutch fan and fitted Twin Thermos
These are some of the pieces retrieved from the cylinder bore. There was lots more of it.
