The key to a good serve is knowing the drink/food you are
serving and where they are kept in the servery/cold room/hearth.
You wouldn't go to the cold room for warm paga and on the
same note you wouldn't go to the hearth for chilled paga,
BUT the paga needs to get to the hearth somehow to be
warmed if it is asked for. Let the people watching you know
how it got there if that is what you are serving. The same
with the other drinks/foods that can be served chilled or warm.
Is the food on a spit in the fireplace? Let them know.
KNOW WHERE THINGS ARE STORED AND HOW THEY ARE STORED.
You also need to know what the drink/food will be served in.
Knowing the difference is important.

Second important feature to a good serve is putting
your personality into the descriptions. Describe what
you are doing and why you are doing it. If, at anytime
during the serve you make a mistake, don't panic.
Continue on in the serve by making the correction.
Remember people aren't mind readers even on Gor.
Keep your mental thoughts out of the serve as much
as possible. Use your actions to speak for your feelings
and always make it apparent you enjoy what you are
doing. serving your Master/Mistress or their guests.
Even if Someone is talking about you during your serve,
it is considered impolite to speak or react to the
conversation going on around you during your serve.
As tempting as it may be to laugh at a Masters comment,
it should never be done, your only concern during your
serve, should be the serve itself. You shouldn't even
smile to each other if another slave enters during a serve.
If a Free Person should ask you a question, smile
politely to Him/Her, and post that you hope He/She
understands that you are not allowed to speak during a serve.

The Free Person should be very understanding of slave rules.
There is no problem with reacting to the One you are serving,
such as when He winks at you in the servery, or watches
with desire as your silks slide up your thigh. When a
Free Person is being served and posts something of
this nature, it is one of two things, a reaction to
something a girl has done, or a call for a reaction.
It's up to the slave to figure that out and if a
reaction is called for, offer it.

There isn't any set amount of postings required
for a serve but you don't want to lose the interest
of the people watching so make it interesting and
hold their attention, make them see the serve
throughout the entire thing. Don't be lazy or
appear to be rushing through your serve.
PRACTICE...that can't be stressed enough.
Practice makes it go smoothly. Don't cut and
paste your serve, make it different each time.
Watch your spelling also, that can ruin an otherwise good serve.
