About the Coaches:

Coach Sherri Rome: A Morris Hills High School graduate herself and Hall of Fame runner, she has been working with Scarlet Knight XC runners since graduating with a Masters degree from Springfield College in Massachusettes in 1992. Until recently, Mrs. Rome was also the Winter and Spring Head coach. Mrs. Rome brought a second state sectional xc championship to MH exactly 10 years after she was a runner on the first team that won the honor in 1986. She is an avid Nascar fan and loves spending time with her husband and baby daughter.

Coach Lauren Kelly: Also a Morris Hill grad, Coach Kelly was an accomplished distance runner for the Lady Knights in the mid 90's and was a part of the successful program Coach Rome built as a new coach at MH. She continued her distance running competition at Rutgers University while receiving a degree in Business Administration. Returning to Morris Hills to teach in January of 2003, Ms. Kelly was recruited to become the Head Spring Track and Field coach; a position that she still holds.
