Okay, so you found me...big deal! Here's something you might not know about me, unless of course, you pay attention to way I spell certain words! I AM
, AND I'M PROUD OF IT!!!!!!
To those of you who live outside of my country, do you realize that if we were to invade your country, the United Nations wouldn't believe you! "Who's attacking you? Canada! No way! Get outta here! They're such a fun loving country...Oh just hand them some beer and they'll go away!"
I've been playing BattleTech for more than ten years, and when FASA decided to stop running the game, I went into shock like most hardcore BattleTechers. But I got over it, though I still wish they were running it since Classic BattleTech is no where near as popular as it once was.
Four years ago I began searching the web for a Play By eMail version of Mechwarrior or even straight BattleTech. I had some rough experiences as a GM so I didn't want to go that route right away. I was met with disapointment after disapointment. Games would start up and just as they were getting interesting, they'd disappear. Or I'd quit because I was getting 40 emails a day and it was impossible to follow along as players would change their turn after reading what other players were doing...I was starting to hate PBeMs.
So I decided that I'd try my hand at it anyway, and thus began The Inner Sphere Rangers, a game that included 12 players and ran for nearly two years, spawning a novel that I'm still writting that introduces a new Clan that the rest of the Clans never knew about...Clan Phantom Blade, located on the opposite side of the Inner Sphere since the Khan of Phantom Blades knew they were coming and about where the Clans had planned to invade from.
I had some free time since some players were only able to post once a week and others could only post during the week, so I created more games in the BattleTech / Mechwarrior genre. In total, there were 6 BattleTech / Mechwarrior games running all at once. Most of the players were playing in three or four of my games, they liked my games that much I guess. This was back in the day when BattleTech and Mechwarrior games were a dime a dozen...now...
I also enjoy Rifts, and have, with the help of a former Rifts GM of mine, successfully integrated BattleTech into Rifts. It's always fun to bring a BattleMech into Rifts Earth...range sucks for a 'Mech, but that can be overcome with a few alterations...hehehe!
I love the game of BattleTech, and while there are still people out there who are willing to play...then I'm willing to provide a game or two!
I live in Northern Ontario...yes it's cold, yes we get a lot of snow, no there aren't polar bears knocking over trash cans in search of food and Go
Go!
Oh, and before I forget...here's my personal thought on AOL!
