Background:

Growing up on a farm is supposed to be a simple life, but that all changed during another one of battles for control of League between Marik family members. A VTOL crashed into her family's home, wiping them all out in the middle of night while she was at a sleep over. The state took possession of her and sold her to a Mercenary unit. While she was sold as a slave, Gerald Robinson saw a potential in her to be much more than that, and he claimed the girl, further announcing that Caitlin was now his daughter, baring the Robinson name. She did not like the idea at all, but once Gerald explained her other option, she changed her tune.

She grew up with the Mercenaries learning that there was far more to military life than her parents had told her. She had been given a jaded view of the life in an attempt to ensure that she would not choose that kind of life. But with it forced upon her, she had to learn to adapt, but even still, she did resist somewhat.

Rather than show an aptitude towards the fighting aspects, Caitlin demonstrated a knack for logistics, however, it was a long time before anyone figure that out. The unit tried to get her into the cockpit of a BattleMech, but it was unsuccessful. When someone finally did notice just where to put her, they began her training.

At the academy, Cailtin's ability to break encrypted messages came to the forefront, proving in the end that they did make good choice by sending her for some formal training.

The Wellington Death Dealers were somewhat between contracts when she returned to the unit, so they placed her as a backup Logistics Officer for a two-year Paramilitary Service term. It was hoped to give her a little experience, but not much happened, however, she did get the opportunity to perfect her abilities in Cryptography.

Again, as backup, Caitlin served the Death Dealers. She spent a tour of duty with the Federated Suns. They had no need for her, it seemed like no one did. Even while over in the Arc Royal Cordon after serving on Robinson, there was no need for her, as there was no need for a secondary Logistics Officer. However, Caitlin did find out the political nature of those who served with the Lyran Alliance, and she learned how to use information to her advantage.

Her last major assignment took her to Nueva Castile, aiding the general staff in planning some major battles. However, the way they treated her was appalling, which resulted in her becoming rather timid. The good part of it all was the connections she built while on this duty.

Once back on Outreach, where the Wellington Death Dealers have an office and space, she met Schaefer Keller. They hit it off rather well, which drove Tom Kurtis, her adoptive father's best friend, nuts. She thought it was funny in a way, that both her real father and adopted father were both gone, and yet she still had someone with the perverbalial baseball bat ready in case the boyfriend stepped out of line.

Schaefer found her timid nature endearing, and felt the need to protect her. But then he found himself falling for Caitlin, and worried what would happen when Alexandra arrived.

His fears were unwarranted, because Caitlin absolutely adored Alexandra. This helped Schaefer's cause with Alexandra, because the affection from Caitlin was soaked up like a sponge. It showed him that Alexandra and Marrisa had a very strong relationship, and breaking into that was going to be tough, but well worth it.

Only since leaving the Death Dealers and becoming the Logistics Officer for the Pale Horsemen, has Caitlin begun living with Schaefer and Alexandra. As for the precocious little girl, Caitlin refrains from claiming to be her mother, as she does not want to offend Alexandra, or create other complications between the three of them.

There is one thing that Caitlin has against her. To date, she has had no real combat experience. Schaefer is aware of this, but he believes in her, not just because of their relationship, but his gut tells him that she is the right person for the job. Caitlin hopes not to disappoint him, or the rest of the Pale Horsemen.
