Leftenant Raymond DeHatchic Overview:
Raymond is the black sheep of the family. At a very young age he made the wrong kind of friends. These friends of his got Raymond into some serious trouble with the law. His parents bailed Raymond out, but it cost them a lot of money to do so. It was a defining moment in his life, as there were two ways it could have gone for him. As it has been seen in most cases similar to this, the child just learns that his or her parents will always get them out of trouble. The hope is the opposite, that the child learns a valuable lesson, and understands that he or she is being given a second chance.

This was one of those rare occasions, where the intent of action paid off. Raymond turned his life around, in fact, he requested attendance at a local military school. His father, George DeHatchic, was proud of his son's request, and he enrolled
him, regardless of the cost.

It paid dividends almost immediately as Raymond qualified for accelerated training. Showing technical abilities, that is where Raymond focused his attention. In fact, Raymond qualified to attend Armstrong Flight Academy. Again, this was a financial hardship on the family, but they pulled it together and put him though. Again he qualified for accelerated training, once again proving to his parents that he was worth every C-bill they spent on him. What sent him over the top, pleasing his father even further, was that Raymond also qualified for Officer Candidate School, and he went for it.

Raymond's first action planted him in the uneasy zone that was formerly Capellan territory. He did not see much fighting himself, but his skills were most definately put to the test as he had a command position, and a wing of Aerospace Fighters to maintain. He was glad to get out of that pressure cooker only to find himself wondering why skirmishes in the St. Ives Compact sometimes pitted Federated Commonwealth units against Federated Commonwealth units.

Once his tour was complete, he used his contact at Armstrong Flight Academy to get him assigned to the Deep Blue Sea. Raymond simply wanted to get away from the in-fighting, and people pressuring him to take their side. He already choose the Davion side of the things, his family always had been pro-Davion, and Raymond was no exception. While he did question his loyalty to the Davion thrown, he was sick of the squabbling between the factions of the Federated Commonwealth. It is his hope that his time on the Deep Blue Sea will not be filled with talk of who's on who's side.

Leftenant DeHatchic is a bit of a ladies man. He knows that most ladies find him rather attractive, and he's not above using it to his advantage. However, his choice on how he uses this advantage does not make him a "Player."
