Eliza Dushku, 20, slayed us on Buffy and
cheered us up in Bring It On. Now she dishes about The New Guy and
playing bad girls.
YM: Was it hard keeping a straight face
on the set of The New Guy?
ED: Yeah. When you laugh out loud while reading the script, you know the
movie's going to be cool. Plus, it's nice that the cast is still hanging
out since we wrapped. So many people do that "I love you baby, call
me!" thing, but don't really mean it. With The New Guy, we all
became friends.
YM: You're best known as Faith from
Buffy. Will you return to the show?
ED: I'd love to. I miss the cast, and I like seeing strong girls kick
ass.
YM: Are you a troublemaker in real life?
ED: No, but I don't think rebels are all bad - they're just
experimenting. Those roles are more interesting than good girls. I love
that this business allows me to pretend to be someone I'm not for three
months at a time. I think you learn about who you really want to be. You
take a piece of each character and that makes up who you are.
