| My trip to Germany!! September 13th - 25th 2006 |
| Ok, so many of you know that I recently took a trip to Germany, if you didn't, well I did! I had a great time. I had awesome hosts there in Germany (Harry and Lilli, thanks!). It was a dream come true to see the old towns and castles that the country has. I was so excited, words just can't explain right now how I feel... as my friends would put it, it was "F**KIN' AWESOME!" So here I share my journey with you all, the pics and links of places I've visited. Take a look, enjoy, and let me know what you all thought. Hope all is well for everyone! Take care! ~Faith |

Alright, so I flew into Frankfurt on Thursday (9/14/2006) morning and met Harry and Lilli. I tell ya, that was a long flight, but I slept most of the time, so it wasn't too bad. Plus, I got to watch a few good movies on the plane! After arriving we went to Heidelberg and walked around the town. We also went up and checked out the castle. Very cool! My first ever castle! But jet lag set in and I was ready to sleep... |

| Alright, day two... We traveled to Cologne for the day. I was very excited about seeing the Dome there. What a great place that is! We viewed the inside of the place. Very interesting. It was my big idea to try to climb to the top of the tower, but after 167 (Harry counted) stairs, my legs wouldn't work for me anymore!! So after making our way back down, I had to get something to drink. Harry had the bloodwurst with onions and bread... I just had beer! But since I was in Germany, and they eat that stuff, I tried a little. Not the best stuff I've ever had, but it was reason enough to have another beer!! Afterward we walked around the town. I had a lot of fun there. :) |

Day Three... Maria Laach Monastery, Monreal, Burg Eltz, and Buckles and Boots |

After spending the night at Harry's mother's house, we went to see the Maria Laach Monastery. We lucked out as they were having their open house that day. We got to go in and see where the monks live and work. I thought I took more pictures of the place, but this is the only one I can find. This is of the church there. But it was a nice place, very peaceful. Another great experience, I enjoyed it! |

| So after leaving the monastery we stopped at a little village called Monreal. It was a very old village. We got out, walked the old cobblestone streets, crossed old bridges, looked at the old wood houses. It was very cool being in a old village like that. It was very peaceful there. Sitting on the bridge and listening to the creek run, was very relaxing! Click the pics for a bigger view! :) :) |

| After seeing the monastery we drove down to see the Burg Eltz. This is one of the oldest and preserved castles in Germany. It was great and very fasinating to see. This is where I had my first taste of beer and lemonade, I think it was... It was different, but good. I had a very good time. I loved seeing the old architecture and surroundings of the place. It was like going back in time, seeing how they lived back then. I thought it was very cool! This was my favorite of the castles I visited. |

| So after a long Saturday, we spent the evening at a small bar called the Blue Parrot. It was fun. I met some cool guys (the band members). They were all very nice and funny! They gave me a CD of theirs and signed it as well! That was nice of them. They aren't a bad band either. Felt like I was home at the Stampede watching a local band! They are all great musicians. Did I mention they were funny?! :) Yeah they were funny, they taught me a few things about being German!!! |
