"FAITH!? What do ya mean you cant feel your legs?! Im getting you help." Bosco said as he jumped out of his chair knocking it over in the process. He ran over to the door. "Help please anybody help me!" Bosco yelled down the hall. With luck it was Faith's doctor who heard him and came running up with a nurse behind him. "What is it officer?" He asked Bosco. "I dont know I just dont know, we were talking and then the next minute she tells me that she cant feel her legs, please Doc, you gotta help her." Bosco shouted out in one breath. "Faith, I am going to prick your leg and you tell me if you can feel it alright." Doctor Romainski stated. Faith nodded and waited for her doctor to put the pin on her leg. She waited and waited and waited. "you c-can put-t the pin on now d-doc." Faith said. "Mrs. Mitchell, I have been putting the pin up against your skin." he replied solemly. "Oh god." Faith said as she started to cry. "Nurse, prepare for an x-ray, we need to see if the are any breaks." he said turning back to Bosco and Faith. "I am terribly sorry. The only good news that I have for you is that we didnt see any before so it might be just bruised, so your paralysis could only be temporary." The doctor told them as the nurse came back. "Dont leave me Bos." Faith begged. "I wont, they wont let me in the x-ray with you partner, but I will be right there waiting for you. I am not going anywhere, I promise you." Bosco whispered as he took her hand in his and kissed her palm. He never thought that a gesture like that towards Faith would come so easily to him. But now was not the time to think about that. Faith neede him and that was that. "Okay, you ready officers?" "Yes." Faith answered quietly. ************************************************ "So, how'd you sleep sweetie?" Carlos asked. Kim slowly turned onto her back and opened her eyes. Looking up she saw Carlos standing at the door with a tray in hand. On it there was a glass of OJ, and french toast. Along with one lone white rose in a small vase. "Oh Carlos, what's this? You shouldnt have baby." Kim replied sitting up. "I know, but we all had a long day and I wanted to give a special treat." Carlos said as he cam into the room and placed the tray over Kim's lap. "Ok, but you have to stay in bed with me hun. I love it and I love you." Kim said with a smile before she kissed Carlos. "I wouldnt rather be anywhere else babe." Carlos replied as they pulled apart. "Do you think that before our shift we can head over to Mercy, I want to see how Faith is doing." Kim asked as she took a bite of the french toast. "Ya sure, I wanna go there and see her too. I didnt get to yesterday. And plus, we could see if there was any chance in hell that we can get Bosco to go home and change, he probably hasnt left yet." Carlos told Kim. "Your right. I wouldnt be surprised." Kim said as she layed back down against Carlos' bare chest. ***************************************************** Bosco was out at the vending machine while the doctors continued the xrays when Charlie came running up with his grandmother in behind. "UNCLE BOSCO! WHERE'S MOM!?" Charlie yelled grabbing ahold of Bosco's waist. "Hey champ. Calm down, she's awake and up in the xray room. And I think that it would be a nice surprise if you were there waiting outside with me. But we should head up there now, because she is going to be out in a couple of minutes." Bos replied. "Can I gran? Please, Uncle Bosco will take care of me please!?" Charlie begged. "Alright, Mr. Bosco would you please tell Faith that I am thinking of her. I know that I havent been able to see her, its just that Fred gets mad, doesnt want me to see her and all." Fred's mother said with a shrug. "No problem, but I can't believe he wont let you see her. You have every right too." Bosco said trying to control his angry as to the fact that the man's son was right there. "Bye gran. Uncle B, can we go now!? PLEASE!? I wanna see mom." Charlie said tears forming in his eyes. "Sure lets go and give her a nice surprise." Bosco said as he put an arm around Charlie and they walked up to the x-ray room. ************************************************************************** "Alright, we are still on the look out for that perp who was selling the drugs round the pre-schools and elementry schools. And also on a lighter note, we have recived word that Officer Yokas has woken up. She seems to be doing alright, but they still want to run some tests. Thats all, keep your eyes and ears open out there people. Dismissed." Swersky said as he left the room. "Well thats some pretty good news to start of the day hey Sully?" Ty asked as they got up to go and get their radios. "Ya, what do ya say if we go there on our dinner break and see how she is, being that Emily wants nothing to do with her and Charlie is away at school, she could use all of the support that she can get." Sully answered as he grabbed the radios. They walked out to 55-Charlie and Ty quickly hopped in the drivers seat. "What do you think you are doing junior? Its my turn to drive you get to once a week and you already had your turn." Sully said as he folded his arms against his chest. "What are you Sul like ten, who cares come on lets just head on out there." Ty said laughing "Fine. You know that you can be a real pain in the ass sometimes Davis." Sully said annoyed as he hopped into the shotgun seat. "Ya, but thats one of the reasons that you love me big guy." Ty replied while donning a big smile. They were only about five minutes into their shift when they got a call. "55-Charlie please respond to a 10-20 on 1054 Authur and 8th." "10-4 Dispatch. 1054 Aurthr and 8th." Replied Sully as he flipped on the sirens and Ty started to flore it. ******************************************************************************* Faith was still tired but when they wheeled her out of the x-ray room, all of that changed, the moment she saw her son. "MOM!" Charlie said running up to her and gently pulling her into a hug. "Oh baby, I am so glad that your here." Faith said with a big smile. "Gran told me you were hurt, and I was really worried." Charlie stated as he pulled away and looked at his mom. "Well you dont have to worry anymore honey, cause mom is going to be fine." Faith said as she storked his head. "Good" Charlie replied as he pulled her into a hug again. Bosco looked down at her with a look of surprise hoping that the x-rays had turned out well. Faith only replied by shaking her head sadly. Pointing to Charlie's back she mouthed 'For him, I dont want him to know yet'. Bosco nodded. ******************************************************************************* Sully and Ty arrived at the store without any sirens. parking in the alleyway beside the store, they both quietly hopped out. Walking to the front of the store with their guns drawn, peering inside they could see the robber pulling stuff into his bag from behind the counter. Sully mouthed the words ' one my count' Ty nodded in response Sully counted on his fingers..1........2........3......... "POLICE FREEZE!" they both shouted at the same time and the robber dropped what he had and turned around with his hands in the air. "Oh my god...." Ty said as he recognized the robber.
