We don't know much about Buffy's past before she became the Slayer, we do know that she lived in Los Angeles and went to school at Hemery High, from the autumn 1995 untiil the summer of 1996. It was just before this that Buffy was called as a Slayer and was approached by her first watcher, Merrick. He tought her many of the basics of vampire slaying but was killed during her training. Things went from bad to worse for Buffy as she was expelled from Hemery for burning down the gym (as it was full of asbestos- or vampires), and her parents divorced.
After this Buffy moved, with her mother, to 1630 Revello Drive Sunnydale California and enrolled at Sunnydale High School. There she met her new watcher who was also the school librarian, Ruper Giles. Although reluctant at first, Buffy resumed her duties as the slayer, but throughout her first year at the school she and sunnydale were plagued by members of the order of Aurelious. Buffy fought these consistantly killing them until the end of the year when she came across their leader, the Master (or Heinrich Joseph Nest). In her battle with this extremely old and powerful vampire she was killed but luckily resuscitated by one of her friends, Xander Harris. Revived, she killed the master and prevented the opening of the Hellmouth, on which Sunnydale rests. |
