| EPISODE 19 : "EMPTY PLACES" |
| Episode 19 Spoilers: EMPTY PLACES Written by Drew Greenberg. - Clem leaves town in a new car. - Xander has in fact lost his eye. - Giles is in this episode. Wood is in the episode. Everyone is busy researching. Anya finds out that UberVamps can be staked (but they have tough skin) and that they are unaffected by holy water) - SITs still angry at Buffy and scared of Caleb. - Buffy goes back to the school (which is now closed) to gather her thing and spots a pic of her, Xander, and Willow photo of her, she starts crying and looks up at Caleb. - Dawn and some others go to an abandoned mission to research Caleb's symbol, which is on the wall. - Giles sends Spike to go investigate the mission, Giles says they need someone strong to go incase there is any danger. Spike comments how the last "mission" Giles sent him on was a trap to get Spike killed. Andrew is being annoying, and there is some funny Andrew/Faith scenes, so Giles tells Spike to take Andrew with him. - Meanwhile, Buffy and Caleb are fighting he knocks her unconscious. - Spike and Andrew find the last survivor of the monks who lived there at the abandoned mission. The monk talks about the seal in the basement and says that �the seal is for her alone. � - While Buffy was unconscious, Faith takes the depressed SITs partying at the Bronze. Their fun is interrupted when the police arrive to arrest Faith. There is something-fishy going on with the police, they have duct tape over their badges and appear to be acting like some sort of hit team. They take Faith outside and try to kill her, the SITs follow them out and start kicking some cop butt, then Buffy shows up ( obviously she�s no longer unconscious). Buffy doesn�t realize that these police are acting �fishy� and gives Faith long lecture about her behavior and keeping the SITs safe. Faith replies �why weren't you concerned about keeping them safe when you took them to the wine cellar?� Buffy socks her and Faith just takes it and doesn�t fight back. - When Xander returns from the hospital, Faith is waiting outside for him (she doesn�t like hospitals) and Wood comes up to her. They talk and he says that that Buffy is too stressed to make any decisions. - Buffy starts taking charge, she says there is a reason why the First isn�t protecting the seal in the basement of the school. She says that she thinks that it is protecting something in the vineyard, and that everyone should go and investigate. - The potentials, Giles, Dawn, Rona and everyone say no. Everyone puts his or her two cents in. Faith says she doesn't want to face that kind of danger again on a hunch of Buffy's. Willow tells everyone to lay off Buffy, but no one listens and refuses to go with Buffy. Buffy and Giles start arguing, he says people can get hurt (Jenny), Buffy plays in the �you tried to kill spike� card, also throws in how Giles killed Ben. Xander says he�s already sacrificed enough (i.e. his eye) and says he isn�t going either. Buffy states that SHE is in charge because she is the SLAYER. Anya yells at her, she says Buffy is the slayer only by accident and never has had to work for anything. The SiT�s point out that Faith a Slayer too. - Faith is like �hold on, no I don't want to lead anyone.� But everyone decides to support Faith and not Buffy, who is shocked. Buffy doesn't think Faith can handle it and doesn�t want to sit back and watch Faith screw everything up. Dawn kisses Buffy and tells her to leave because Buffy can�t agree with everyone in that Faith is in charge now. Buffy has no support, she�s pissed and leaves the house. - Spike does not return from the Mission in this episode. |
