I have been a bad blogger Both my parents had birthdays (the last before they become grandparents - yay!) and received sentimental presents from us. We bought Dad a picture book by Billy Crystal, I Already Know I Love You. A sweet, sweet book that makes me cry everytime I read it. I was thinking I would love to have him read it to my belly (he he) once the munchkin can hear noises outside the womb. But I will probably cry too much for him to be able to. Along with some other stuff which I really can't even remember now, we gave my mum a beanie I had knitted. It was basically just a copy of my Kittyville Hat but without the kitten ears or earflaps. Mum & Dad also celebrated their 27th wedding anniversary, and so LJ, P and I hatched up a plan to cook a romantic dinner for them one evening. Dan sent them out for dinner at his expense on their actual anniversary, and then the next night the three of us took over the kitchen and cooked a gourmet - of sorts - three course dinner. They absolutely loved it - I just hope they don't expect it every year! My cousin Kylie had her appendix removed. I received a very scary phonecall from my mum one Wednesday morning to let me know she was going up to the hospital with Kylie, and she didn't yet know what was wrong. When she finally got back to me later on (and after I had played secretary for her all day), she told me the problem was with K's appendix. She had surgery late Thursday night to have them out, so mum and I spent a bit of time visiting at the hospital for a few days. Not that we were there nearly as much as Ed, who is possibly one of the sweetest loveliest men alive - apart from my own husband of course. Thanks for looking after her. We love you Ed! P and I went to the Easter Show, on Easter weekend no less. What a crazy busy day it was. Actually it wasn't too bad, except when you were in the pavillions. Thankfully we decided against showbags, so we didn't have to battle the crowds there. We reunited a little girl with her mother, after seeing her wandering around looking a tad lost. Her mum had written her mobile number on her daughter's arm. What a brilliant idea! We also indulged in lots of terrible, but yummy, show food - pluto pups (apparently you shouldn't eat them while pregnant - oops!), fresh lemonade, and of course, cheese on a stick. All in all March was a pretty good month, except for the fact that I completed only one thing from my March to do list. I continued to have bizarre dreams about people from school (Greg, Angie, Heather, Melissa, Cara). What does it mean? What am I supposed to "resolve" with these people? Nothing really, I think. I also had two more dreams about "Mr Hottie", aka Michael Vartan. Sleep is such a wonderful thing! Finally, I have decided to post a "site of the day", at least for this month. This will serve a double purpose. Firstly, it will give you some insight into what I'm browsing lately (if you care!). Secondly it will allow me to continue to declutter my ridiculously long list of favourites. So today I present you with Circumcision in Australia. Why on earth is this my site of the day? Stay tuned - I'll elaborate tomorrow. And truly, really, the last word. It scares me that I could only write one paragraph that didn't contain some side note in parentheses. Must work on that. |
