Cleaning out my closet
Anyone that knows me well knows that I am an absolute sentimental packrat. I keep a lot of stuff that I probably don't need to keep, and often forget I have anyway. I am even worse when it comes to internet "favourites". I have a terrible habit of bookmarking sites to explore further "one day", but of course that day rarely comes. It got so bad that at my worst, I had over 800 sites bookmarked! Call me crazy, but that's probably a little obsessive.

So after some serious cleaning out, here are some random fun sites that I want to remember, but that don't need to clutter up my favourites folder any longer.

A lovely quote: "There will always be dreams grander or humbler than your own, but there will never be a dream exactly like your own...for you are unique and more wondrous than you know!"
- Linda Staten (from Inspiration Peak)

These soaps look gorgeous and have fantastic packaging. In fact, if it weren't an American company I would probably buy up big, just on account of the packaging. But, you know, shipping, and supporting local business keeps me in check.

The Soul Food Cafe - a fantastic resource for writers. Be inspired!

the illuminated letter: a lost art - Ooh, I would love to receive a letter like the ones mentioned here. Perhaps I will get the ball rolling and send one first, then see if I get one back.

Places I would love to stay one day:
Santa Fe Luxury Bed & Breakfast at Coffs Harbour
SeaChange at Coolum Beach
Avocado Sunset at Mt Tamborine (The Oriental Room looks absolutely divine.)

Amazing pavement art. These things look 3D. You must have a look at these.

Stuffed Animals - gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! Found via a commenter at Loobylu.

Some of the most beautiful wool I have ever seen! Hard to choose favourites, but I particularly love Apple Blossom, Emilie, Last of the Summer Berries, Little Cayman, Water Lilies and Cotton Candy.

That's plenty to keep boredom away for the time being. But I'm sure there will be more as I continue to purge. I have also taken photos of two favourite artworks that I finally parted with. One I drew myself when I was about 14, and one LJ drew for me. I wanted to keep hers, but unfortunately the colour on it ran, and the back went mouldy because I kept it on the fridge. So, they will live on in my memory!

20 out of 20!
I got 20/20 for this drawing. Hard to see the detail, but I love the eyes. Very proud of my 14-yr-old self!

LJ drew this picture of me - I love it!

To Do in March

1) Finish cleaning & painting the baby's room
2) Make some big decisions about our finances
3) Get some ideas on paper about a business I'm considering
4) Cook from scratch
5) Be more strict about not eating meat at all for the month

Reading
Your Vegetarian Pregnancy
by Holly Roberts

I have been a little lazy with trying to avoid eating meat lately, which is silly, because I need to be healthy now more than ever. This book should help me feel better and grow a healthy little bean!
