Unbreak My Heart 
Chapter 9


"I…." she began but before she could continue her cell phone had rang in the most worst... well actually 
now that she thought of it saved her from saying anything that she may have regretted. 
had turned his gaze away from her as she began to talk, 
"Hello... What... Mom what's wrong… But she was fine 2 days ago…"knew something was wrong, 
he could tell by the tone in her voice and the tears that began to flow as it give an outline of her cheekbones. 
"No, I need to be there... I'll talk to the director, he'll understand" she said before ending the conversation 
and wiping away the tears as if nothing had happened. 
"ahh I need to go, I'm sorry" she said trying to hold back her tears and left while dialing the 
number of the director.couldn't focus on dialing the number. She was distraught and she kept on 
fumbling with the number dial, until suddenly she couldn't take it anymore and burst into tears. In that 
moment, she felt strong arms wrapped around her , and before she knew it she turned around and poured 
her eyes out as her head was pressed against the chest of. Whilecontinued to hold her 
tight, and told her everything was going to be okay. In a way, she felt protected and safe. Although it was 
still etched in her mind of what happened and she replied, 
"No it's not, everything has changed…" She slightly paused in mid sentence and continued again. 
"The phone call as about my grandmother, she past away an hour ago… I saw her only two days ago and 
everything was fine, she was fine and healthy. It doesn't make any sense'' she stopped as more tears continued 
to flow. 
knew that's grandmother had a special place in her heart. Even he felt the pain, because it 
was through her that he had met her granddaughter. 

****Flash back****

"Ahh... Mr.wonderful performance once again." Remarked a classic lady in her seventies as she shook 
hands with. 
"Mrs.good to see you again, I hope you enjoyed the show" he replied 
"Oh you know your music always had a place in my heart, though it is a shame my granddaughter does 
not appreciate it as much as I do. In fact, as a belated birthday she "offered to come and keep me company." 
She replied 
"Though I wonder where she is now…" she asked as she looked around until she spotted her 
"Oh there she is……" she called 
To's surprise, he was in awed of the beauty that was walking this way. She was mesmerizing with 
her long brown hair and her flawless skin. She was perfect in everyway to him. 
"Sorry Grandma I kind of gotten lost in here?" she said as she turned and noticed. She had seen him 
perform, and immediately fell in love with his voice, despite the song being to popish for her. Seeing him 
now, he was beautiful not only vocally but physically. 
", this is, whom you had heard earlier, and, this is my lovely granddaughter." She said 
introducing them both 
"Nice to meet you" she said as she extended her hand towards him.being as charming as he was 
took it and placed a kiss, while watching her blush at the same time. 
"A charmer" she smiled 
"I try" he grinned. 
"Oh, the director… I'm going to talk to him, you two enjoy yourself" she smiled at with a wink and 
walked away knowing her job was done. 
"My grandmother didn't just set us up did she?" she laughed 
"I'm afraid she did" as he joined her laughing
