Unbreak My Heart Chapter 2
"Welcome signorina to Manarola, Italy" said the clerk at the desk after entering the hotel lobby "Thank you" I said with a grin. I knew my stay would be something to always remember. "Hi, I have a reservation, my name is " I had said "Ahhh yes you do" he said while looking at the screen on the computer "Here are your keys to the room, and the do you need help to bring up your luggages?" he asked "No, it's alright" I said as I took the keys and headed to the elevator to the 30 th floor. As I entered my room, the first thing that struck me was the great view of the ocean from the balcony. It was mesmerizing and breath taking. I loved my job, as an archaeologist I got to travel around the world, excavating historical sites, and on top of that surrounding myself with the glorious nature of the cultures. I noticed a package on the dinning table addressing my name. I went over to check it out and to my guess they were sheets of paper concerning the excavation sites that I would be attending tomorrow. I couldn't attend to those now so I decided to take my camera and wander the streets of Manarola. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "So how long are we shooting the video?" asked "3 days, and then VACATION" yelledwith excitement as they finally arrived in Manarola, Italy. and the guys were being walked through the plan for tomorrow's video shoot. Each of them would be in doing separate things and meeting up at a street where a coffin would be carried through. We were all going to be an a huge boat at sea having a little party of our own. "So this is basically the boat you'll be on" stated the guy who was directing the video. Although, had tuned out of the directors comments and instead focus on someone he had seen before. It didn't make sense but he thought he saw, walking out of a hotel with her camera he had given to her for her birthday. "I think I'm seeing things," he said to "Maybe it's the eye surgery you had," laughed "Haha very funny, but I think I saw" he said "Okay I think it was the surgery, how many fingers am I holding?" he said toas he held up 3 fingers "3 duh" I said "Just checking, anyways maybe you should go back to the hotel and sleep" saidpatting him on the back "Ya, I think I do" he said and left while the remaining 3 were left behind to talk. "I don't think he was seeing things," saidas he had heard their conversation "So it wasn't just me either?" asked "I guess not," said "Well there is one way to find out, I'll see you guys back at the hotel," saidbefore leaving them ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I felt like I had been staring at the ocean for days on end, taking picture of its endless beauty. I finally decided to break away from its beauty and focus at a far distance on the ruins of a building at the top of the hill that could only be accessed by a long and winding stairs. The sun was already setting to the lighting on the ruins were brilliant. However, all of that was taken away from sudden darkness. "What the" I had said removing the camera from my eyes only to see a tall figure standing in front of me. To Be Continued...
