Rekindling Our Love Chapters 21 & 22
Chapter 21 "Miss, Miss," said the airhostess as she gently tapped's shoulder to awake her. "Yes?" askedas she slowly rubbed her eyes and slowly stretched her arms after being asleep for who knows how long. "We have arrived at your destination," she had told her. "And where would that be?" asked. "Lille, France" "Oh okay," she said thinking that she had to meetat the theatre. That was the place! "Thanks," she said as she left the plane and walked into the airport. She went to the baggage area to pick up her luggage and went straight out of the airport to take a taxi. However, she spotted something at the corner of her eyes. It was assigned that was addressed to her and a man holding it as he stood in front of a limo. "Ah Bonjour je m'appelle." She told him. "Ah oui, Welcome to France! I've been instructed to drive you." He said switching back from French to English and had opened the door for her. "Merci," she said as she got in taking her luggage. She noticed that there was a large red box wrapped in a golden ribbon in front of her and wondered what it was. But before you could take it, "Mr.had told me to give this to you," he said handing her an envelope and had closed the door. had looked at the envelope that had her name on it, she had recognized it was 's writing and began to tear it open. She took out the letter that was neatly folded and began to read it. , Yes another letter, and yes this is another clue. But first, welcome to France once again. I won't say much because knowing you, you need a lot of time for it. There is a present for you, and I want you to open it. I hope you love it, and I hope to see it! Sincerely, took the present and unravelled the ribbon and opened the box. To her surprise it was the most beautiful dress she had seen. She took it out of the box and was amazed. It was bright red and strapless that would go down to her knees. She noticed something else was in the box and took out a red strapped on shoe, with a golden buckle. Another small red box was also present and she took it out. She opened it a saw and was astonish of whathad gotten her. They were diamond stud earrings. This was all too much. She knew she couldn't accept all this, and yet another part of her wanted to try all of it on. She forced herself to believe that this is all for, it was the best she could do to thank him, and that was to wear it all. "Excuse me, but is it possible if I could change in here?" she asked the driver. "Yes miss, I will put up the dark screen now." He said as he pressed a button and up went the screen. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- One thing thatwould never want to do again, was change at the back of the limo. She struggled to zip the back of the dress as the car kept on moving in all sort of directions. She had finally finished doing her hair, make up and her dress and now it was the shoes. It was the most tiresome thing she ever had to do, and that was not 's 10-hour labour. Every time the car turned she'd fly in that direction while still holding the laces of the shoe. She tried to get the buckle into the whole of the laces but it wouldn't budge, until 10 minutes later after poking another whole. She had finally finished getting ready and likehad said she did need a lot of time. The car came to a stop and the driver got out of the car. She could hear his footsteps move around to her side of the car and opened the door. He lended her a hand, and she took it. "Ah what about my stuff?" she asked him "Don't worry, they will be there when you get back." He told her as she stood in front of the theatre. "This was it." She said to herself, still nervous and confused. She walked into the lobby of the theatre and looked around. It was completely empty. She knew she had to meetat their place, and walked down the hall like she had used to several years ago. Nothing had changed. The same posters where still hung against the walls, and golden doors to enter into the theatre.arrived at the theatre door, and remembered it was this place where she had ended up after getting lost. It was her first time encountering , and it was their first time they had their date. She took the handle on the door, and with the last breathe of air, she had opened the door. Chapter 22 The place was dark, and yet there was a pathway filled with little circular candles on the ground that lead up the stairs and onto the stage. As she got closer to the stage, she could see a table placed right in the center with two chairs on the opposite side. She discovered a single rose on one end of the table that sat on top of an envelope. She reached forth and grabbed the rose. She took the rose with her left hand and began to smell its beauty before placing it beside the envelope. She then took the envelope and began to open it awaiting her next clue, but as she read the beginning out loud it was a poem. My drive, my inspiration, The reason I choose to live, Wishing that one day, More love to me you'll give, Seconds, minutes, days, More time it just flies by, My special girl has left, I ask the question why, Until my final breath, Till my last word is spoken, I'll sit and wait for you, Cause your the girl I've chosen, I'm a man of my word, So you know my love is true, Forever and always, My love will be for you, I'll build you a castle, I'll make it out of sand, As long as your with me, So I can hold your hand, Listen to my words, I'll sing you a song, About our beautiful past, When our love was strong, At the song's demise, I'll hold you if you cry, Those tears are filled with love, I'll wipe them from your eye, She was at the last stanza of the poem until she heard someone else saying the words with her. Now were finally back, My true love is back in sight, Forever holding you close, This feeling is so right By the time they had finished,'s arms were around her waist and she slowly turned towards him to look him in the eyes. "That was beautiful," she remarked. "It is, but its beauty was inspired by you." He told her as he gently stroked her cheeks. She bit her lips thinking of what to say next but his words left her in an empty thought, just staring into his eyes was all she could do. "So, I know we're dressed up but what if I told you we are going to have a picnic." He said as he released his arms around her and took a basket under the table. "A picnic, and we're formally dressed?" she asked "Well, it's a first time for everything." He grinned as he led her to the edge of the stage where he took a seat and signalled her to sit beside him. He had opened the basket and took out too 2 wine glasses followed by a bottle of wine.thought that this was all too familiar and then it all clicked when he brought out two horribly wrapped sandwiches. "Like our first date." She said out of the blue. "I thought you'd remember by now." He said "Of course, it was the sandwiches. I remember it took me more than 5 minutes to figure out how to unwrap the thing." she laughed "They were great wrapping skills, what are you talking about?" he laughed "Ya, sure you struggled too." She said trying to undo the wrapping. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ They had finally finished their food, and were just talking about everything that would come into their mind. "Alright, lets go." He said as he stood up and lent a hand to. "Where?" she asked as she too stood up. "When have I answered your questions?" he asked "Good point," she giggled and followed his lead as they walked further into the stage. "Alright," he said as he went around her and covered her eyes with his hands. ", not again." She said, "Fine only if you promise to close your own eyes and not peak at all." He told her. "Fine, I promise." She smiled as he released his hand and faced her to make sure she wasn't looking. "I know your face is inches away from me, and it's not through peaking." She said with her eyes closed as she could feel's hot breath. "I'm just checking," he said as he took her hands and slowly lead her further into the stage. "Okay wait here," he said. She could hear his footsteps move away from her, and abruptly stopped as he placed something that sounded like glass onto the table, and he took a step towards her. "You can open your eyes now," he said. Oddly enough she looked atwho's palm was out towards her covering something in this fingers. He bent down on one of his knees, and opened his palm. Out flew a small but beautifully orange butterfly, in place of a ring. "The story I told you when we first met, about the man and the opera lady. I know it's of my own imagination, but if you think about it, it is just like you and I. The day I met you was love at first sight, and everything that happened between us was like that story. All though, there is just one more thing that will make it not just a story, but a real one of our own., will you marry me?" He said to her with the ring still in his hand and a smile on his face. 's emotions were all spiralling in all sorts of directions and she knew of one answer To Be Continued...
