"Why don't you just stick to one station who knows maybe then you'll find something," he said as he made a right. "Ah, my parent's house is on the left, the opposite direction." She said as she noticed eyes were still fixated on the road. "I know," "If you knew why aren't you turning around?" she asked "Because if I did, we would be going in the wrong direction,"said taking in the glimpse of her reaction. "" she began before he informed her, "Don't worry I called your mom earlier and told her that needs to stay at her place for 2 days and I brought over extra clothes for her. So you can relax." "Why would you do that?" she asked still puzzled and realized he just pulled up into the airport. "Okaywhere are you taking me?" she asked "Think of it as whisking you away," he grinned as he got out of the car, asjust sat there thinking of what might be in store for her. "Shall we?" he asked as he opened her door. Chapter 20 had just gotten out of the car, puzzled of whathad planned for them both. She realized that he had taken one luggage out of the trunk and strolled them over to her. "One luggage and there are two of us." She told him. "I know." He smiled. "Okaywhat's going on and where are you taking me?" She asked as they walked into the airport and were directed by a man. "I'm not saying, but just for fun I'll give you clues first clue, you're getting there by Steve's private jet, and second you need to read this when you're on the plane." He said giving her a note as they boarded the plane. "Okay, why did you say, 'you're getting there' and not 'we'?" she asked "You'll see, okay I need to go, so enjoy your plane ride and I'll see you when later." He said as he handed the man her luggage and left the plane. ", this is so not funny." She called back to him. He walked back and gave her kiss. "Don't worry, just relax. I know what I'm doing." He reassured her one more time with a kiss and left. The plane had departed carryingin it. She looked out at the window and thought that this was crazy. She had no idea what wasthinking. She took the letter out of her pocket and began to read it, , I know you might be thinking that I'm out of my mind, whisking you away like this, but know that I've missed you too much and I thought maybe it's time that we go somewhere where we can finally have some alone time, just you and I. I'll be waiting for you at our special place. Until then, couldn't help but read 'our special place', several times. She remembered the first day they had met, *** Flashback*** had lived in Lille, France for quite sometime trying to complete her master's degree in history. Her studies lead her to visit all sorts of architecture, ranging from houses to museums to concert halls. One day, the tour lead to some concert hall, where her class was taking a tour of the auditorium and they managed to see people preparing for a concert the night before. Once the tour was over, class was dismissed, yet wanted to look around even more. After quite some time, she managed to get herself lost and ended up in the middle of a stage in another auditorium. She stood there, taking in the silence and emptiness of the place. There were endless rows of red velvet seats as it circulated the auditorium; at the end of the stage there were chairs and stands for the orchestra and in front was a podium where the conductor would stand. She didn't know how long she had stood there until someone had spoken to her. "It's breathtaking isn't it?" he asked "In deed" she said as she looked into the eyes of the man. She had never seen such beautifuleyes and couldn't help staring. "Your one of the students in the tour right?" he asked recognizing her during his practice performance. "Yes, I'm" she said extending her hand. "" he replied as he took her hand and gently kissed it. He meant to shake it but something came over him. "You know this place was actually built as a present to a women?" he asked "Nope, why?" she asked. "Well, it was actually love at first sight that started it all. There was this man who adored the arts, especially opera. One day, there was a new performance in town, and we went to go see it just like everyone else did. As soon as he had taken his seat, the curtains opened and out came an angel, so he thought. She was a magnificent singer, and each note she sang, the more he grew to love her. After the show was over, he went backstage to meet her and after that it was history." He said finishing his story. "That's it? What does this place have to do with the story?" she asked "Well, he told her that although he could not give her the world, he wanted to give her his heart and that was this concert hall." He explained. "Wow, that's so romantic," she exclaimed as they both sat at the edge of the stage. "Yes it is," he said as he looked into her eyes. "So do you tell this to every girl you met? Because in my textbook, it was built in the 1800's where it used to be the home of some rich man and then turned into a concert hall as his wish. It never really mentioned a wife or a mistress at all," she said trying not to laugh. "Okay you've caught me," he said putting both hands up in the air like the police had caught him in the act. "Just trying to make a conversation with a beautiful lady," he grinned "I guess your wooing technique worked. Well Mr.I better be going now." She said as she had gotten up. "How about you come and see me perform tomorrow, maybe we could make my story into reality," he told her. "We'll see." She told him. And left. *** End of flashback*** Likehad said, they did turn that story into reality. Well except for the part where the man had given the women a concert hall of course. Oncehad met him backstage, and the rest was basically history. They had fallen in love. To Be Continued...
