Chapters 11 & 12


Chapter 11

"Are you saying that I should just stay out of her life?"  I thought to myself as I sat along the shore of the 
beach. It was already 4 in the morning. I couldn't sleep at all, and so I took a walk along the beach, to think. 
After the long and intense discussion with, I knew that Duncan had every right to be in's life, 
and I know that it's been 3 years since my relationship with . But I just couldn't get rid of the past and 
move on.
"Couldn't sleep as well" saidin a calm voice as he sat right down beside me. My eyes were still focused 
on the sea.
"Yah, how did you know I was here?" I asked as I now focused on his presence.
"I had a feeling" he said
"Look about earlier�" 
"Hey, it's alright, you had every right to say what you said, but I still meant what I said in that note, I still 
love you and I always will. Nothing has changed that. And I do want to be in's life more." He said 
"I know"
"The thing is I want you to be in our lives, but I just don't know if I can trust you with my heart again." I said 
looking straight into his eyes. 
I knew he looked a bit crushed when I said that, but it was the truth. When he left, it shattered my heart into 
pieces, and it was difficult to but it back again. Even then, I feel like there is a piece missing, lost perhaps. 
"Well, hey we should get you back before anyone wonder where's you are" he said helping me up.

Chapter 12
 
"could you stop pacing back and forth, your giving me a headache" saidas he sat on the 
counter of the kitchen.
"Maybe I shouldn't have said yes"
", it's just one little date" said
"Still, I mean she doesn't really know him" I said
"That's he whole point ofhanging out with her dad" said
I looked atwho was watching 'Dora the explorer' on TV, and then I looked at the clock. 6:59. 
"He should be here by now" I said 
"Calm down Doris, he'll come"

*** ding dong***

"He's here" I said
"Well are you going to get it?" asked
"Ahhh yah" I said as I went to open the door.
was standing at the door with a bouquet of roses in his left hand and a little bear on his right.
"Hey" I said
"Hi, this is for you" he said as he handed me the bouquet. 
"Thanks, come on in" I said
",'s here" 
"Yay" she said as she ran out to greet
"Its that for me?" she said eyeing the teddy bear
"You bet" saidas he bent down to her level to give her the teddy.
"Thank you" she said as she took it and hugged it as tight as possible.
"So, we'll be back by 9" said
"Okay, sure" I said
"Bye baby" I said as I huggedas tightly as possible
"Mommy�" saidsignalling to release here
"Be good ok" 
"yes mommy" she said and took's hand and they left.
"Awww don't they look like a good couple" saidlaughing as we watched them get into the car.
", get a grip it's just 2 hours" 
"Okay okay" I said as I closed the door.
