How Do I?

Why did I lie? I asked myself as I led back on my bed restless I hadn�t fallen out of love with
at all its been nearly a whole year and I haven�t seen her much either but every time I do the 
strongest feeling hits me and I wish I could stop this pain I want to hold her in my arms again 
I wondered if she felt the same I sighed heavily as I got up grabbing my jacket I went for a walk 
but every where I looked was a memory�
 
There she goes once again
The ghost of our love, its making me shiver
It�s only small drops of pain
But even the rain turns onto rivers

I skimmed stones across the lake I was close to the edge I waited for the ripples to cease but when 
they did another one started I looked around nothing was around that would�ve have made them 
ripples there was no wind I saw it happen again I rubbed my eyes that were becoming sore and 
realised it was me making them ripples it were my tears that had fallen from my eyes and I had no 
control over them as I let the fall and watched the ripples on the lake grow wide then cease�
 
Thought I�d be safe, living behind this wall
But the pressures too much. And it�s starting to fall  
 
Sighing again to myself which I had been doing a lot lately I left that memory behind me as I 
walked away from the memory of whereand I used to have romantic picnics beside the lake 
I walked through the park and saw couples kissing some watching over children how I wished 
that to beand I one day but it wouldn�t ever be would it? A cute black Labrador ran up to 
me barking and panting I bent down to stroke the dog that seemed friendly 
�I�m so sorry he doesn�t usually do this� a familiar voice was heard I looked up as I slowly stood 
back up and saw her I was stood face to face with her as she clipped the dogs lead back on
�I have to go� she said quietly and walked away she looked back at me as a tear escaped my eye 
and I saw one escape from hers two�
 
So how do I get over you
How do I survive living half the life that I knew?

I wonder if you feel it to, do you?
 
I hadn�t imagined it had I? No I hadn�t I really had seen that tear fall from her eye I didn�t know 
she had gotten a dog but why did he run up to me? Was it something to do with pet�s instinct?

�Why run to him of all people Scooby?� I asked him with anger in my voice I never usually spoke to 
him that way but he had hurt me deeply I got in the front door and let him off of his lead before 
slumping down in a chair Scooby came up to me realising I was upset 
�I�m ok� I said hugging him 
�You don�t understand what happened withthat man you ran up to but why did you run 
up to him do you know something I don�t?� I asked smoothing his ears I saw the red light flashing 
on my answering machine
�HelloitsI hope your doing ok are you? It�s lovely living in Spain the whether is amazing 
you should come and visit I�ll send you a plane ticket and everything sometime next week I�ve 
already paid for it just show up it�ll help you keep your mind off ofI know you still think 
so much about him all my love� 
I picked up the phone and dialled the international number that she had given me 
�I was hoping you�d call me back�said picking up the phone 
�I had to� I said as a lump formed in my throat making my voice sound slightly different 
�What�s wrong?�asked 
�Well I took Scooby for a walk as usual and I let him off of his lead for a while so he could run 
around in the park a bit and you know he doesn�t usually run up to strangers� I said 
�Yeah�responded 
�Well he did today and it was none other thanand he didn�t look good either well obviously 
he still looked hot but he seemed still so upset like I do�
�You know if you ask me you have one clever dog�  
said making me laugh slightly 
�I most do maybe he senses something bothand I don�t anyway I need that break to Spain 
so are you sure?� I asked her 
�Of course I�m sure I�ll send the stuff over right away�said
�Thanks so much� I said 
�Your welcome anyway I�d love to stay and chat but if you want that stuff as soon as possible I 
better go sort some things out you just go and pack love ya Hun bye�
�Bye� I replied and hung up you see afterandsplit she moved to Spain to start a new life 
but I couldn�t do that I had so much to do in England first�
 
�It�s so good to see you�said as I met her in Spain at the airport 
�And you I�ve missed you so much� I said hugging her 
�well come on its nearly sunset and the sunset here is beautiful you�ve got to go down to the beach 
after we�ve got your stuff back at mine and see it ok�  
said I laughed 
�Yeah ok� I said and followed her 
�Wow nice Villa� I said looking around 
�Look around later come on� she said grabbing my hand and running down to the beach near-by we 
chatted about what had happened since she�d been gone as we watched the sunset which was 
indeed beautiful and waves in the ocean lapped over each other it was the only sound to be heard 
right now I walked nearer the ocean and let a tear drop in the sea 
�The day you find the tear I dropped in the ocean is the day I�ll stop loving you� I 
whispered even being in a foreign country didn�t help at all everything was still a memory 
�I�m tired now mind if we go back to the Villa I need to get some sleep� I said yawning 
�Sure�said and we walked back to her Villa 
�Night Hun� she said 
�Night� I replied going into my room�
 
Every time that I turn there�s something there
Something to remind me 
When I sleep its alone, still I reach out
As if you beside me 
Thought I�d be safe, I tried to find somewhere new
But everything I did 
Is something we used to do

I�ve had enough I�ve got to get her back I don�t care what she says I need her in my life I can�t 
move on without her in it, its impossible the best days of my life we with her I got out of my house 
and went to hers and banged on the door 
�Sorry mate if you�re looking forshe�s in Spain on holiday� her neighbour said
�When will she be back?� I asked 
�Two weeks� he replied that�s two weeks to long I�m going over there 
�Thanks� I said and walked off back home I booked a ticket and a room in a hotel and before I 
knew it was sat back in a plane�

By the time I got to Spain it was morning there I hadn�t a clue where to look first I�d search the 
whole of Spain until I found her I thought as I checked into the hotel I thoughtwhere would 
she be then it clicked how much she loved to go to the beach I put on some more appropriate 
clothes and headed down to the beach I looked everywhere until I heard the heavenly familiar 
laughter�

�No way� I said listening to some of�s stories of the guys here in Spain 
�There chat up lines are worse then the ones in England�said as we both giggled 
�Do you hear that?"asked I listened carefully I could hear something
 
 
Seems like every place, every person we knew
Every sound every taste, reminds me of you
 
I turned around and saw the one person I�d least expected to see I couldn�t move or say anything 
as he came up to me and took my hands as he carried on singing
 
I thought this would be gone, But it�s still so strong
I keep holding on
 What else could I do?

�I can�t lie� I said and fell into his arms crying 
�Told you, your dog was clever�said smiling 
�What?� I said 
�I knew you two being apart wouldn�t last even when I lived here I knew you two wouldn�t be 
able to go on without each other by your sides so I took you away from,and now 
you�ve both realised�said 
�You�re so sneaky you know that I bet you trained Scooby when he was a puppy to run up 
toif he saw him� I replied 
�You�ll never know now are you two going to kiss and piece your hearts back together or am I 
going to have to bang your heads together�said putting her hands on her hips making
and I laugh slightly I turned back toLee and looked deep into his eyes drowning 
in them before I felt his lips dance with mine.
