Love Takes Time
Chapter 2 



*�s POV *

�Why are you hiding yourself like that, you�re not trying to escape huh?� I heard someone laughing 
behind me. 
I turned around and met�seyes. He looked sexy in that suit.
�You may never know� maybe I�m an evil bitch who never loved Max� I said evilly andlaughed.
�Stop joking babe, you�re worrying me when you�re like that� he said raising an eyebrow 
then laughing.
�Like what?� I said smiling.
�So mean! It�s so not you!� he said smiling.
�I�m not that bad but don�t you love me as I am� I asked him cheekily.
�course babe I do, you know you�re an amazing girl and I�m more than happy you found the one for you. You 
really deserve it� he said truthfully.
�, you soppy boy� I said hugging him. �you deserve also to find Miss Right but you�re not ready 
to settle down yet!� I laughed pulling away. �Admit it, you�re still such a baby!�
�See you�re mean� he said faking to pout while crossing his arms around his chest.
�Oh I�m not� I replied defending myself.
�Course you are� he replied poking out his tongue at me.
�Stop arguing you kids�said suddenly. �, apologize�.
�She was the only one who was mean and��tried to defend himself.
�now!!�raised his voice trying not to laugh.
�I�m sorry� he said looking at me. �even if I didn�t do anything� he whispered and we all 
burst out laughing.
�, you look gorgeous by the way� Dunk smiled.
�Thanks, wonder what Max will say when he sees me� I said hesitantly.
�don�t worry babe, where is he?�asked.
�He�s gone while I was dressing, about an hour ago� I replied.
�Where did he go� wondered.
�Home. He forgot something, don�t know what� I told them.
�And he hasn�t come back yet?�said. �Maybe he found another chick who�s not as crazy as 
you are�laughed.
�And I was the one who was supposed to be mean huh?� I said sarcastically.
�You know I was joking babe� he said taking me in his arms. I laughed.
�I know� I smiled.
�I�m sure he�s gone to buy you something for the wedding night if you know what I mean� like maybe some 
sexy underwear� he said with a cheeky grin and we all laughed.
�stop always thinking about sex!�told him.
�Can�t help it� he grinned and winked at me.
�Stop annoying the wife-to-be and go and sit down, will you� 
said laughing.
walked towards the seats but came back running and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
�See ya� he smiled.
�He�s such a kid sometimes� sighed smiling.
�Sometimes?� I said laughing.
�So you�re ready?� he asked suddenly seriously.
�More than ever� I replied.
I really loved Max, he was such a great, loving, caring, trusting guy. He really made me happy for the past 3 years 
and I couldn�t wait us to marry. I was ready to settle down cause I found the one I really loved. As soon as 
I realized I loved him, I knew he was for me�

* Flashback *
*�s POV *

Midnight. I was still working at my office. I had to finish a stupid article and I couldn�t do it. I lost the 
file where I had the interview and  I couldn�t write properly with all the coffee�s I had drunk. Max was sat a 
few desks away and was ready to go cause he had also an article to finish for the day after. Before going he 
looked at me, I was almost sleeping on my desk with my hair in a mess. I was holding a cup of coffee on one hand 
and the other one had a pen. I looked so tired. He smiled and came near me.
�is everything okay?� he asked me.
�Huh what? What happened?� I stammered cause he had woken me up.
�Were sleeping huh?� he smiled which made him look even more gorgeous. I just nodded and sat up.
�I can�t bloody do it!� I cried. �I�ve lost everything. I�m such an idiot�.
�Hey, calm down� he said approaching me and putting his hand on my shoulder and suddenly it sent a shiver 
down my spine., stop that immediately I thought. No way I had feelings for Max.
�I�m gonna help you, okay?� he said taking a chair and sat next to me.
�No Max, it�s kind of you but��
�No buts, I love helping women� he joked and I laughed.
�Such a charmer� I said rolling my eyes.
�You know I�m not like that� he replied.
�Was only joking, I�ve known you for what? A year now�
�Yeah something like that� he said looking deep into my eyes. His were blue : just gorgeous. I had never noticed 
that before. There was an awkward silence as we were still staring at each other. 
�I think I have to go� he said hesitantly standing up.
�Yeah, think it�s better� I replied as I stood up too. Our faces were really close and I was still looking 
deeply into his eyes. We didn�t break this eye contact. I really wanted to but I couldn�t. Standing face to 
face like that made it more difficult.
�You said� I began saying as he put his hand on my cheek for stroking it. Suddenly I felt the tension build 
up in me and I could feel his breath on my face.
�You said� I repeated. �you were going�� I tried to finish but his lips, soft lips were on mine. 
He kissed me and I didn�t pull away. In fact I was kissing him too and I loved it. He suddenly slipped his tongue 
into my mouth and began teasing mine. The kiss got more and more passionate. He pulled away as we both 
needed some air. We looked into each other�s eyes and it just felt right. Since then we were together. 
We really loved each other for a long time but refused to admit it and we were falling in love with each 
other more and more everyday�
