Chapter 8

I looked outside and nothing was falling from the sky I sighed it would be lovely if it snowed I thought 
to myself as I pulled the plug in the sink and let the dirty water run down the drain I turned round to 
pick up a tee-towel to dry up the cups and plates passing them towho put them away in the 
cupboards for mestarted to cry so I left the kitchen after drying my hands and climbed the 
stairs to her room 
�It�s ok sweetheart mummy�s here� I said picking her up and rocking her gently in my arms 
�You hungry baby� I said still gently rocking her as I walked out of the room and down the stairs into 
the kitchen I sat her in her high chairstarted to talk to her playing with her hands and making 
her laugh while I fixed her bottle up  
�You wanna feed her?� I asked as I tested the milk on my arm to see if it wasn�t to hot for her 
nodded as I passed the bottle to her and then carried on staring out the window 
�You know if you keep staring out the window hoping for it to snow it won�t�said her back 
still turned 
�Oh really?� I askedlooked round quickly 
�Got ya� I said laughing 
�Oh did you now�said and nodded towards the window 
�I�m not falling for that one� I replied 
�No seriously �said again but I was having none of it�

and I walked out of the jewellers just as it had started to snow 
�Think we may get a white Christmas� I said to. 
�I hope haven�t had one in a while if ever in England anyway� he laughed 
�Yeah would make the day even more perfect� I replied with a smile 
�So when are you going to ask her to marry you?�asked 
�You�ll have to wait and see won�t be for a while yet but it will also be very soon� I said confusing 
. 
�What?� he asked with a confused expression on his face 
�Some time next month it will be over dinner and really special� I replied 
�OK then mate�said not really sure what to say I was still a bit nervous what would 
she say? 
�you sure she�ll agree to marry me� I asked 
�I�m absolutely positive no doubt about it� 
�I just wanna be sure� I replied 
�Look tell you what I�ll askto ask her secretly like getto organise a girlie night in while 
were doing that show in Tenerife you know get her to ask her slyly�suggested 
�That�s a great ideathanks man� I said as I got into my car and he got in his 
�Well I�ll see you tomorrow about 2 because that�s when we really need to be in the studio� I said to 
. 
�My word you actually remembered�said and laughed 
�Not funny� I replied as I started the car and reversed out the parking space I yelled 
�Bye� toand drove home back to my angels�
