| A Taste of Sapphire written: charlotte date: 3 November 2001 note: this piece was actually the prologue to the full story i planned to write following it. i regained my sanity and knew i could not continue in such a style, so i tossed that idea. - - - - Rain is sharp in its full waves, those rushing streams that pierce the skin with fire from rings of Saturn tucked amongst clear liquid beings. We are unsuspecting victims of their touch, an innocence that wraps fiery mists into beautiful bundles of teardrops. He had come with their prompting. Wet fingers poked, prodded the slim form with silken caresses. He had argued with their advances. The thunder frowned, streaking across the sky in a dramatic gesture. The rain shoved then, firm tips focused on reuniting destiny with its original path. It had lost its way in the past. He had no memory to wish upon. He had been purified and mended by their hands, those winged creatures with sparkles in their purple eyes. I had awoken to quiet hands and ushered to my door in a clouded sleep. His lips had moved. I remember watching the dripping forms changing shape. A garbled language that made perfect sense. He had stumbled against me, the muscles twisting beautifully against one another as I wrapped myself close to him. My voice had responded in whispers that I do not recall, ones that rolled like pink cotton. My night clothes grew heavy with his thick liquid coating. I could not stop my dark eyes from following the curves of his chest, the tan flesh that gleamed from within the ivory shirt he wore. I remember my thumb rubbing the smooth mouth gently, his breath welcoming in its warmth. Our bodies collapsed onto the burgundy couch, our skin melting against each other. In the bathroom, I had snatched a plush, crimson towel and proceeded to relieve him of his damp shell. Stripping off his useless shirt, I roughly ran the towel against his shivering flesh, willing my heat to envelop his limp figure. My eyes would roam. I did not feel guilt. He was now mine, presented unceremoniously into my feminine hands by the angelic beings who smiled as their shimmering wings propelled them upwards into the golden stars. [end] |
