| > 04 march 2003 'only her' she turns 18 this month. hard to believe my little sister is turning into an adult - she doesn't act like one half the time and probably never will. but then, it is a part of her charm, her craziness, her full 'aries' personality, her 'duo-ness' played against my 'heero-ness' [in anime-speak]. christine, like the rest of my family, has potential to become something. she's a wonderful singer, a soprano, and given the chance with an experienced tutor, could grow into a professional singer. but, no charlotte church opera or kelly-what's-her-name from 'american idol'. christine would like to be on broadway actually. she could do theatre if she wanted as well. i will forever bash my head against a wall for not videotaping her entire re-enactment of the movie 'the lord of the rings' - she played every part, with costumes and accents, to the soundtrack as she dashed though the living room and kitchen and back again. simply stunning. [but she still has to get over her stagefright. that might pose a problem in the future, you know.] she's dependent, always glomping someone for attention [especially me]. her and my father have an unsteady relationship, not always getting along because they're too similar [exactly like my mother and i]. she's loud, boistrous, talkative, stubborn, detail oriented [she organizes the tupperware in the cabinet for heaven's sake] though her room is a mess. like me, she strives for a godly relationship with jesus on a daily basis. unlike me, i think christine would make a great mother because she's so loving; she smothers our animals with kisses and hugs all the time, and even me sometimes. i cringe but i really don't mind at all [but don't tell her that, hehe]. she's the one i laugh insanely with, the one who talks to loud, the one i can act crazy with. she loves 'quatre' from 'gundam wing', 'momiji' from 'fruits basket', and orlando bloom + elijah wood from 'the lord of the rings' and other hot blondes. i'm a viggo mortesen fan [amongst others] so we'll never have to worry about falling for the same guy. right now christine has taken an interest in flowers - arranging and such. she loves nature; speaks to the earth and sky regularly with secrets only between them. we became close only a couple years ago because of our mutual interest in anime, but i think our bond will connect us throughout the spaces in time and between the people we attach ourselves to. we practically have our own language and can read each others' minds in that sisterly way. besides, who else could i give a menacing face to and be glomped with a hug in return? |
