Put a small amount of fabric stiffener in a plastic container and dip hat completely in and pull it right out and wring out excess stiffener. If you used a plastic container with a lid you can save the fabric stiffener in it for further use. Take a marble and pull the crocheted hat over it and take your hands and mold the hat into the shape you want. I like to either flip the front of the hat up to make it have a Victorian Look, or you can flip the right side up. Leave the Marble in and place the hat on something that the stiffener won't stick to. I use either a piece of waxed paper or glass. Allow to dry overnight. It may be hard to get the marble out but it will come out. You can still mold the hat shape a bit in your fingers to get it just how you want it.. Take a feather, Buka for some leaves, add some mini flowers and decorate it anyway you want. Only use the stiffener if you want the hat as a display hat only. If you want it to fit on your Mini Dolls Head make the hat as instucted above but dont stiffen it.
Shawl
Chain 72 Stitches.
Row1:Hdc in the 2nd chain from hook and into each chain across. Chain 1, Turn.
Row2:Slip Stitch into the first 2 hdc. Chain 2, *skip the next hdc and hdc in next stitch, chain 1. Repeat from * across leaving the last two stitches of the previous row unworked.
Row3:Slip stitch into the first two stitches, *Hdc in previous round chain 1 space, chain 1. Repeat from * across leaving the last chain one space unstitched. Keep repeating from * of this row until you end up with 1 chain one spaces left... With right side of shawl facing you and the tip end pointing away from you , attach yarn on the right just above your first round of HDC. This is the trim that will go around the shawl. In each space going up the right side to the middle or 1 hdc at the tip, you will do the following. In each space slip stitch, sc, hdc, dc, hdc,sc, slip stitch. Repeat this until the 1 hdc at the tip of your shawl. In this hole do 1sc,hdc,2dc,hdc,sc,slip stitch.. Work the pattern of the shells up the left side of shawl and end off. You can leave the shawl plain or you can glue a mini flower on the tip to match you mini hat.
Slippers
Chain 7
Round 1:hdc in second chain from hook and in each chain across working 3hdc in last chain. Do not turn. You will now be working on opposite side of chain. Hdc in each chain across until you get to last chain and work 2hdc in last chain. Join in the back loop of the first HDC from the first side worked.
Round 2:hdc in back loop of each stictch around. Join with a slip stitch.
Round 3: hd in both loops of each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch and end off.
Turn slippers inside out and hide your threads. Turn slippers right side out and take your fingers and form the slipper shape and then you can glue a mini flower or a mini pom pom on the top.
You can also make a chain or use mini ribbon and turn them into mini Ballet Slippers!
