1.)Miniature Beaded Purses by Mab
One Inch Scale -cut number or beads and rows in half for Half Scale Purses

All these were made with a circular peyote stitch and size 14 Seed Beads.
To learn the stitch and to find out where to order beads a great place to start is
 Beadwork

At Beadwork you will find links to sites with really graphic instructions on doing the peyote stitch.
I also had alot of help from my friends Casey and Ronnie. If you saw some of their beading , you would want to bead everything you see in your house and your dollhouse.  A very special thanks to these great friends for all the help and encouragement they have given me.

Supplies
Size 14 beads or smaller. I just ordered some size 20. ( If you use larger you will have to adjust the pattern by the amount of beads you start around with.)
Nymo Beading Thread - I used white, size 00
Beading Needle
Pen or pencil ( you will be beading around this)
Rubber Band

Now pick out three colors of beads that go nicely together. In this case I used Amber, Blue, and Creme so I will use these colors for the directions.

1)and 2) Cut off about 6 feet of your beading thread and thread on 30 of the amber beads. This will actually be your rows one and two. After you have them threaded, bring your needle back through them to form a circle  and go through them all once again to so that you have a double thread going through them and slip this on your pen or pencil leaving a tail of about 6 inches. Tie a knot to secure the circle. The tail will be used later to make the handle or strap for your Mini Purse. Take a rubber band and tie the tail to the top part of your pen or pencil to keep it out of your way while you are working.
3)Now you will be working in every other bead to make your count 15 around. The Peyote Stitch Instructions you can find on the above site will explain this.. You will be going in-between two beads of the previous row. For round three your pattern will be Cream Bead, Blue Bead. Alternating as you go around until you have 15 beads... When you get to the 15th bead on each round you will go on a slant downwards to get to the next row. You will do this at the end of each round when you get to the beginning of that round.
4)All Solid Blue for this round... Still 15 beads.
5)Cream, Blue, Cream , Blue alternating all the way around.
6)All Cream around
7)Cream. Blue, alternating all the way around.

18)Amber all around
19)Amber all around

You are working from top to bottom. After you finish round 19 slip the piece off your pencil or pen and stitch the bottom of purse closed.. You can leave the  bottom plain or if you want fringe here are two ways you can do it.
1)After taking off pencil or pen, make a stitch on end where needle is to close and then thread on 10 beads of your color choice and then make another stitch near the first to close that and it will make a loop. Keep repeating this across the bottom of the purse.
2)After taking off pencil or pen, make a stitch on end where needle is to close and then thread on 10 beads of your color choice, and three of a second color.  Bring your needle up through the first 10 beads you just put on.. Don't run your needle back through the three of a different color...As you pull it up to the purse , with your fingers form the three different color beads to kind of a triangle shape. You will have two side by side and one below it.
Of course you will tie off your thread at bottom when done..
For the strap, thread your needle on the tail you had from the begging which is not at the top of your purse. Bring it to one side and thread on 20 to 25 beads of your color choice and tie off at other end of purse..
