Travelling to Uni
I am currently in my forth and final year of my Bachelor of Primary Education at Edith Cowan University. My home campus is in Mount Lawley , just outside of Perth, Western Australia. I travel by bus to get to Uni from my home in Rockingham, it takes approximately two hours each way and between two and three buses. Needless to say it is a bit of a trek, but I am well used to it now considering the fact that I have been doing it for almost four years.
Home and Family
I still live at home with my mum, dad and little brother, although I should hopefully be moving out next year when I get my Remote Scholarship, and head way out bush. I also have an older brother, but he has already built his own home and moved in with his girlfriend.
My mothers parents (my nonno and nonna) live just down the road from us, they moved over here a few years ago from Sydney. My family had initially moved here from Forster, a small tourist town about five hours north of Sydney, approximately 10 years ago, then my nonno and nonna followed us over. My dad's mum still lives in NSW. You may have noticed I referred to my mum's parents as my nonno and nonna, thats because they're Italian, and I'm half Italian.
Pets
My parents actually breed cats, Siamese cats, which I don't really like, but oh well. We also have German Shepard X named Sasha and a Shi Tzu named Pu. My dog is a little Pug named Michiko and she turns one on the 8th October 2004, below you can see a picture of my cute little puppy dog.
Right now I'm doing a short course at TAFE, so that I can learn Italian. I'm not that good with my pronunciation, but I'm getting better, and generally I understand more then I can actually say. I really want to learn because I want to be able to speak with my mum and grandparents in their first language.
