MC8, Sikeston, Missouri, 1980.  Run between Memphis to St. Louis.  This route was shared among five carriers.  They were:
    
Greyhound:  Memphis to Cape Girardeau along US 61 via West Memphis and Blytheville, Arkansas.  Cape Girardeau to St. Louis up State Highway 72 to Fredricktown, Missouri and US 67 on to St. Louis.  After the opening of I-55 St. Louis to Memphis express buses would be added and service to small towns eliminated..
      Trailways:  From Memphis up US 51 through Western Tenn. and Kentucky, through Cairo, Illinois to Cape Girardeau, Missouri.  Back across the Mississippi River to Ill. State Highway 3 to St. Louis.  Trailways would also add express buses along I-55 while cutting service to the small towns.
     Gulf Transport:   Originating in Biloxi, Mississippi and Mobile, Ala. to Memphis.  From Memphis up US 51 through Cairo, Carbondale and Belleville, Illinois to St. Louis.
     Great Southern:   From Memphis crossing the Mississippi River to West Memphis and Jonesboro, Arkansas.  Continuing through Paragould, Arkansas and up Mo. State Hi. 25 through the Missouri Bootheel crossing the Mississippi again at Chester, Ill. and on to St. Louis.
     St. Louis-Cape:  Along old US 61 from Cape Girardeau to St. Louis.  Local service from Festus, Mo. South St. Louis County, St. Louis Lambert Airport and South of Cape Girardeau into Chaffee, Sikeston and Charleston, Missouri.
