A few years ago my mother started writing a children's book about boats; an endeavor she has since temporarily set aside. She asked me to illustrate the book and in my search of differnt and unique boats to paint I came across this Chinese Junk. I thought it was very beautiful and used thick, almost undiluted waterpaints to create such bright colours.
