4th Annual Colchester Spring Classic Tournament

When: April 14-16, 2000
Where: Colchester CT (Near Norwich) -- Distance 80 miles
Minimum three 50-minute games
Other U-14 girls teams include Farmington (Fall 99 State Cup finalist -- losing to Stratford), Manchester and Old Lyme.

7th Annual Glastonbury Spring Break Warm-Up Tournament

When: April 29-30, 2000
Where: Glastonbury CT (near Hartford) -- Driving time 75 minutes
Teams in five age divisions (boys & girls) from CT, NY, MA, NH, VT, RI, ME, NJ, PA
Format: Minimum four 60-minute games

20th Annual Massapequa Tournament

When: May 29-31 (Memorial Day Weekend) 1999
Where: Long Island -- Tournament HQ = Huntington Hilton Hotel in Melville -- Driving time 90 minutes
300+ teams in ten age divisions (boys & girls) from NY, NJ, CT, MA, RI, NH, VA, PA, GA
Format: five 60-minute games (round robin); three flights per age group -- Premier Division = state/league champion teams or top division I teams; Major Division = competitive division I & II teams; Intermediate Division = competitive division III & IV teams

20th Annual JAGS (Jersey Area Girls Soccer) Tournament

When: Friday, June 16 through Sunday, June 18 or Monday, June 19 (playoffs) 2000
Where: Princeton, N.J. (Lawrenceville) -- Rider University -- Driving time 3 hours
240 girls teams in ten age groups (girls only) from NJ, NY, CT, VA, MD, PA, OH, DE, RI, NC, MA
Format: minimum three 60-minute games; three flights per age group: Premiere, Elite and Club

15th Annual Riverside Classic

When: September 4-6 (Labor Day Weekend) 1999
Where: Agawam, Massachusetts (near Riverside Amusement Park); driving time less than 90 minutes
117 boys and girls teams from MA, CT, RI, NH, & ME in seven age groups U-8 to U-14 participate in a minimum of four 50-minute games

11th Annual Columbia-Windham Nassif Columbus Day Tournament

When: October 9, 10, 11 (Columbus Day Weekend) 1999
Where: Columbia and Windham, Connecticut (east of Hartford); driving time about 1 3/4 hours
350 boys and girls teams from CT, MA, NY, NJ, RI, ME, VT, NH, PA in six age groups U-9 to U-14 participate in four levels of competition (Premier/Competition A/Competition B/Recreation) in a minimum of three 50-minute games\

Columbia-Windsor

25th Annual WAGS (Washington Area Girls Soccer) Tournament

When: October 9-11 (Columbus Day Weekend) 1999
Where: Northern Virginia -- This is the premier all-girls tournament in the U.S. and Canada
432 Class I teams (girls only) participate in two or three levels of competition within eight age groups; WAGS Cup = the premier teams in each age group (regional and national finalists and some but not all state cup finalists); "A" Flight = competitive teams of division I status or equivalent; "B" Flight = competitive teams of division II staus or equivalent
Transportation: Drive; Fly to Dulles International Airport; Train (Amtrack) to Washington D.C.

WAGS Tournament

European Tournament--Summer 2000

When: 8-10 days in the summer of 2000 to participate in one or two international tournaments: probably in July based on the timing of the best tournaments.
Where: Most likely England and/or Scandinavia where they have good girls' soccer programs.
Cost: Approximately $1500 per player and approximately $2000 per adult.
Interested: Maria, Adkinson, Daly, Dobson, McGuire, Morten, and Sampson.

Where: O'Neill Center on the campus of Western Connecticut State University in Danbury -- Driving time approximately one hour
Format: Minimum five 18-minute games
U-9 through U-14

20th Annual Westport Indoor Girls Soccer Tournament (WIGS)

When: March 4/5, 2000
Where: Staples High School on North Avenue
Format: minimum six 18-minute games
U-9 through U-18
Each age division plays all games in one day.

When: June 10/11, 2000
Where: Wilton, CT
Format: minimum four 50-minute games
