About Barbuda

ONE of the best places to visit in the caribbean, it sunspoiled beautiful pink sandy beaches wraps around every side of the 62sqm island. on most days the beaches are pratically deserted and so quiet you can hear youself think  except for the beaches nearest to the hotels.

However, it is always important to remember that most of the island's localized beaches have no infrastructure, though this might be a set back, it does not detract form the ambience and you still enjoy it. these beaches are interesting enough to make even a hardened cynic enjoy for hours to come, infact it makes you feel as if you have never been to another beach.

Next to the fabulous beaches; barbuda has an array of caves to explore such as that in
"Two Foot Bay". In some caves are littered with ancient drawings and in others you can climb right through to the top and see spectacular views for miles. some caves however, go so deep underground and underwater that it requires a guide to explore.

The beaches, the caves are great but what Barbuda is highly famous for especially in the bird-watching and nature lovers cirsuit is its
"Frigate Bird Sanctuary". Situated in the heart of the Codrington Lagoon. Exploring the santuary is a forty(40) minutes boat ride with amazing sights that even a non-nature lover can appreciate. Mating season is September to April. The male of the species expands and shows his hugh red breast to captivate the famale, which only lays one egg at a time. The nesting place for these birds are  not far from civilization but far enough so they  hae few predators. They live solely on fish and cannot walk or swim, but they fly gracefully making them one of the most beautiful of rare birds.
