JUMBER PATIASHVILI

Date and place of birth: January 5, 1940; Lagodekhi, Georgia.

1957 - graduated from Tbilisi Secondary school number 55 - entered the Department of agronomy of the Tbilisi State Institute of Agriculture;

1960 - elected first as a vice-secretary of the Young Communists Union of the Institute afterwards as a secretary of the Young Communists Union of the Institute;

1962 - graduated from the Department of agronomy of the Tbilisi State Institute of Agriculture;

1965 - graduated from postgraduate studies of the Institute;

         - appointed as a junior research worker at the same Institute;

         - Instructor and afterwards a Head of the Sector of the Young Scientists at the Young Communists Union Central Committee;

1968 - Officer on the organizational matters of the Young Communists Union' Central Committee;

1969 - Vice-Secretary of the of the Central Committee of the Young Communists Union;

1970 - 1973 - First Secretary General of the Central Committee of Young Communists' Union of Georgia;

1973 - First Secretary of the Gori district Committee of the Communist Party of Georgia;

1974 - Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Georgia;

1985 - First Secretary of the Central Committee of the  Communist Party of Georgia;

1989 - Director General of the research-scientific center "Tavtavi"

1992 - elected MP of Georgia from the Mtskheta district

1999 - elected MP of Georgia, Leader of Minority - elected as the Chairman of the Board of the Institute of Scientific Research of Agriculture named after I.Lomouri .

Family status: married, has a wife - Tsiuri Chichinadze, two sons and the grandchild.
