| I wasn't sure what I would make of the figures when they were first announced. I didn't see the point of yet another elf team (and still don't honestly). I own full teams of Dark Elves and Wood Elves as it is, but avoided the 3rd Edition High Elf Team as it didn't do anything for me. My thoughts on these guys is that if the figures were easy to paint and I liked them enough, I would use them as a start of an Elf Team or a High Elf Team with better looking miniatures. | ||||||||||

| The only one finished of the four is the blitzer pictured to the left. It is a decent miniature overall. The size is more to the scale of the Amazon Team that came out in 2002 than some of the older teams, but that's okay. It isn't a tour de force on the detailing front, but is sharp with what is there. (New moulds are a great thing.) The colour scheme is purple and gold with black gloves and boots. Nothing fancy, but I hope that they work for people viewing the page. Note: Though he is the first figure finished, he has the number 3 on the base (and his shoulderpad). This is due to a numbering convention that I have been using over the years. Throwers get the first couple of numbers depending upon how many are permitted within the team limits. In this case, numbers 1 and 2. The blitzers get the next numbers allocated (3 & 4). Catchers and other special positions round out the remaining numbers in order. Linemen come after all of the special positions in the numbering. Lastly, Star Players, Big Guys and so on get the big numbers. You will also notice that the number 3 is in red as he is a blitzer. This refers to the colour coding that the bases had early on in Blood Bowl and is used to help me identify who is who when playing the game. |
