Dungeonbowl Guess the Weight and Win a Prize! |
To celebrate the completion of the Dungeonbowl, I held a contest where people were invited to guess the weight of the finished product (plus the neglible weight of its carrying crate to be completely open about the guess). There were two dozen entries in all with a range from 8.6 kilos to well beyond 25 kilos. The following pictures should tell you who won. |

This is the crate with the eight boards and pieces (in the little box on top) atop the postal scale at my work. Though it is theoretically possible to read that, I took a second picture of the scale meter (below) to clearly show that it weighs 22.850 kilos. That's 50 lbs. 5.48 oz. to the non-metric of the world. |

The winner if you haven't been following the thread on Bloodbowl.net (the NAF site) is Traveller, who guessed 22.500 kilos. He wins the treasure chest shown to the left. He did have a small advantage in that he too has made items with the same moulds and plaster that I have used, but my congratulations to him for getting so close to the actual weight. I would also like to thank everyone for participating in celebrating my completion of the pitch. Hopefully, I will see you at the Blood Bowl in May. |
