First I must say for the pure enjoyment. Second to preserve the natural character, as their strong ability to survive. Fainter's natural resistant to parasites more so then other breeds. Their ability to utilize the most out of their environment. Their calm personality compared to other breeds of goats. Our Bedrock fainter's give me a reason to get up in the early morning to visit them. As they will come running and seem to converse with me of the evening they had. I love the verity of colors they come in. Kidding time is like Christmas for me. I also love the different coat types, they come in. As we here have not only the smooth coats, but ranging up to heavy long coats. Ours are not only used to clean up our pastures what our other animals don't utilize, but our give us milk, meat and fiber, but also a friendly companionship. When I call "girls", they all come up for hand outs, or just a pet and a rub. Or they will follow me to the next pasture to clean up. As the same with our boys, but they all standing there wondering if its their turn to go for a walk to see the girls.
