The last rays from the dying sun make their way slowly through the canopy, creating small skittering shapes on the path before you. The trees sway slightly in a small wind, adding noise to an otherwise quiet forest. The air is clean here, filled with the scents of the abundant plants that thrive here. The trail curves ahead of you, leading you further into the forest. Eventually, after following the trail for a few minutes, you find yourself at a place where the trail splits and leads two different ways. The trail to your left seems to lead downwards, with the forest apparently thicker here than the rest of the forest. The path to your right leads upwards, the trees disappearing on the steep rise. Not feeling up to climbing up the right trail, you turn and go down the left. The trail is definitely new, looking as if it were just carved out of the forest itself just moments before. The tree branches hang downwards, trying to catch your hair in their grasp. But, thankfully, the trail is short, and you soon find yourself in a small clearing resting in the lee of a tall mountain. Up against the mountain wall is a small house, nothing more than an old shack. You stop at the clearing's edge, realizing that there is a girl sitting just outside the shack's door. She sees you and waves you over. She gets up as you make your way over to her. "Hello, my name is Desiree," she says as she extends her hand in welcome. "This is my residence at the moment." She waves her hand once again, encompassing the clearing and the small house. "I am currently trying to adopt a dragon from Ani's Cave. I plan to stay here until the dragon chooses where it wishes to live. My form has been sent in, wish me luck!" ~*~*~ About a week later, you find yourself in the clearing once again, having decided to visit Desiree. And it is good that you had made the choice to visit, for she had a new adition to her refuge. In the small hut, within a nest, rested an egg. ~*~*~ The egg has finally hatched into a lovely dragon!
