| You stepped through the opening of the castle, the doors no longer keeping people outside. Your footsteps ring in the silence, echoing off the hard stone floor beneath your feet. Dust sifts through the air, causing your eyes to water. You rub your eyes and cast your sight around the castle. The room you stand in is dark, the only light coming through the open door you had just stepped through. You dimly see darker shadows to the right and left of you, evidence of doors leading into other places. You realize that there is another source of light next to the shadow to your right. You head over and realize the light is a torch, nearly burned out. The torch needed more fuel. You tear a piece of cloth from the bottom of your shirt and gently add the scrap to the torch where it easily catches on fire and provides light to fill the entire room. Rubble is scattered throughout the room, covered in a light green moss. The two shadows are apparently doorways, their doors torn off their hinges long ago, leading into the unknown. To the north is a set of stairs leading off into higher levels. You are left with three choices, enter one of the two rooms, or take the stairs, which one will you take?
