| The stars shine brightly in the night sky as you looked off towards the far horizon in the distance. A slight wind blew from the north, whistling in your ears. You stand upon a tall hill, and in the distance you can see a plateau not too far off. You decide to go and explore there. You begin your journey towards the plateau, hoping that there might be something interesting there. You journey through a field of wheat, the small dry plants shaking in the wind. You make your way to the plateau soon and you search around for a small trail that might lead up towards to the top of the plateau. You do find a small trail, one that has been made recently. You wonder who would be out here, and travel on up the trail. You soon find yourself on top of the plateau. You look around and see a dark shape at the opposite end. Curious, you head you way over there with the stars above and the moon shining gently upon the earth. Halfway there you realize that the shape is a person. You can not see their features, but you can see the person's long silver hair that seems to attract the bright light of the moon. You head over to the person's direction quietly, trying not to disturb the person. The person's head is hunched down, and it seems that their attention is focused on something in their hands. Soon, you are standing not too far away from the person who still does not realize that you are there. Off to the right off you, not too far away, is a small makeshift tent with a few blankets scattered in front of the tent. A staff leans against the tent, a small moon on top shining brightly in the dark. Off to the left of the tent is a small nest with a dark object inside, and from your point of view, you can not tell what it might be. |

| You are curious as to what the person might be doing. So, you walk up to them, and stand right next to the person. You get your first good look of her. Her long silver hair, bright with the moonlight, reaches her ankles. Small little charms of stars and moons hang about her clothes. In her hands is a small telescope aimed toward a group of stars hanging in the night sky not too far off from the horizon. At her feet lay quite a few papers with constellations of stars mapped out upon them. You grow tired of just standing there, doing nothing. So, you cough gently into your hand, trying to get the attention of the woman. She hears you, and jumps a bit back. "Don't do that! You scared me!" The woman slows down her breathing a bit and stares at you with irritation. She turns around and heads towards the nest by the tent and you can hear her muttering about strangers being rude. She stoops down the nest and touches the object inside the nest. She seems satisfied and turns back to you. "Well, even though you startled me, I guess I can not be rude to guests. Anyways, welcome to my home," she completes her sentence with a wave of her arm that includes the nest and the small tent. You look at her quizzacly, wondering why she chose a home here, and chose to live within a tent. You hear her mutter under her breath, 'rude people'. "I chose to live her because of the view of the night sky available here. Would you like some tea?" |

| You nod your head and she heads on over to her tent. She pulls out a small box of flint and heads over to a pile of wood not too far off. She gets a fire going and motions for you to come and sit down. She sits next to and puts a kettle over the open fire. She seems to remember something, and once again gets up. She walks over to the dark nest you had seen before and bends down to look within. A shadowed shape comes out from the nest and moves toward the fire, the woman in tow. Once the light washes over the shape, you find yourself looking at a small dragon, the shape of a moon on his arm. Mel sits next to him, a small pack in her hands. She quickly undues the rope bounding it and pulls out some fruit and dried meat. She hands the food to the dragon who eagerly begins to eat. You ask her about this dragon. "This is Kagestu, her name means bright moon in Japanese. She has recently grown from a sub-adult to a adult. She is an astra dragon and she is a moon. You can tell by the small moon on her arm. Right now she is an adult." Kegestu quietly eats. When she finishes, she crawls into the woman's lap and contentedly falls asleep. She rubs the dragon's head fondly until the dragon is too far into her sleep to notice. |

| You hear the water kettle whistling, so the two of you head back towards the fire. The woman pours water into two cups and puts some herbs in them. She hands you a cup and you find the tea sweet. You realize that you do not know anything about this person, so you ask. "Well, my name is Mel. I came here no too long ago. I have always been interested in the night sky and this place gives me a good view of the stars and the moon. I have been making charts of the stars and the planets in their nightly run and I have been quite happy. I was traveling around when I came upon ODA. I decided to try and adopt a Astra Moon dragon, a companion that would have the same interests as I do. And I was accepted and now I take care of Kagetsu!" Mel finishes her little story and sips her tea. The two of you sit and drink the tea, and watch the night sky run it's course across the sky. Mel gets up again and places her tea upon the ground. She picks up some rocks she had sitting next to the fire, warm to the touch. She heads back towards the tent, and moving some blankets around, she reveals a dark shape. You wonder at what this might be, so you head on over to where Mel is crouched on the ground. Among the blankets is a medium size nest, and within is a dark shape. You ask her about the shape which moves about at Mel's touch. "I thought Kagetsu needed a companion/friend. So, I have adopted another dragon, so Kagestu can be with her own kind. I get kind of boring! XP. Anyways, I am sure that the two will be very happy together. Shainingu has recently grown into sub-adult stage!" Kagestu awakens and heads towards the tent. She curls up next to the nest. Mel gazes on Kagestu fondly as she sips her tea. |
