| "They say that if you follow this trail, you will find the most beautiful spot to view the night sky," Keibi says as the two of you stand before a rough trail, just looking on. The little eki shuffles his wings before continuing. "Why don't you go down this trail?" He looks up at you with serene eyes, "It would be better than staying all day here in the clearing." You nod, watching the last rays of the failing sun fall across the dark trail before you. "Is there a gaurdian there?" You ask the little Eki. Wherever you found a gaurdian, you found a dragon home where a dragon lived, or a home that was expecting a dragon. "Yeah, there is. Another Eki is protecting the newly made dragon home with his magic. I am not sure what dragon will live there, that decision is up to him." You nod, and finally finish making your decision. You decide to follow the trail, and visit the gaurdian eki. You step onto the trail, and are surprised at how rocky the trail is. While the area in the clearing is soft below, this is hard and rough, already causing your feet to hurt. You hurry, not trying to think about the many rocks that pass beneath your feet. The trees to your sides are dark and twist at many angles, creating darkness darker than the darkness descending upon you. Already the sun has set, and the last of the light is slowly filtering away. The stars begin to show, lighting up the black and blue sky. But the trees block most of the wonderful stars from view, keeping the treasures of the sky from your eyes. But fortunately the trees begin to thin out, allowing more of the stars to show through. And as the path begins to thin out, you see before you a tall prominent outcrop, jutting out from a cliff before you. Swifly climbing to the tall of the outcrop, you gasp as you look before you. Before you stands a world of stars, inviting for one to enter. Stars of all colors and sizes gleam with great bouts of light, adding a sense of day to the otherwise dark world of night. As you watch the wonderful scene before you, you hear a small cheep behind you. You turn and find yourself facing another eki, one that is the same colors of a night sky. He stares at you, turning his head to the side like a bird, before asking, "What reason brings you here?" "Keibi told me about the lovely view. And I wanted to see you and your dragon home," you say. The Eki visibly settles down, apparently trusting you. "Good. I do not want meanies to come to my home. Anyhoo, this place you stand is where the dragon will live. I have recently adopted a poor abandonling from Zephr Dragon Cliffs. Now the abandonling can grown up in its very own home, safe from the outside world. Please enjoy your stay! ^_^" |
